iOS 9, Cellular settings not saving

Is anybody having this issue? Is there a solution?

When I go to the "Cellular" Settings and mark off the apps I want "Use Cellular Data For:", they do not actually save.

When you back out and come back into that panel, they are unmarked again. The only ones still marked off were the apps I had marked off as yes prior to the installation of iOS 9. I have restrictions off for everything.

When I try to use the apps on cellular service, I get errors saying I need to be connected.

I Have the same issue. Apple support are useless telling my to do resets which I have already done as I have wiped my phone and loaded from backup and problem persists. So frustrating. ios 9.0.1 done nothing so what do they expect us to do? This is clearly a fault. Even if you were covered by warranty as soon as you loaded your back up it would just load the bug too.

I fixed the problem by restoring the phone but set it up as "New" phone (not restore from backup).

Previously, my son turned off cellular data for some apps while under iOS 9.0. The iOS 9.0.1 update seems to lock down those settings and does not allow it to be changed.

My son will need to reinstall all the apps he previously downloaded, but luckily not many of them. For other users, this may be a hassle, but seem to be the only way to resolve the cellular data off issue.

Good luck

What is taking Apple so long to correct this issue? It's not the first time they have induced this same identical bug from what I have seen in the blogs. Have they even addressed the issue here at all? WHERE ARE YOU APPLE? At least give your customer base some idea of when you expect to resolve this issue. I am ready to return my iphone and demand a refund and NEVER use apple products again!!!!! COME ON!!!!!

Same problem here, had safarI turned off in data before

upgrade. Wipe clean does not work when installing from

icloud. My fix for safari was to download google search

app which will give me internet access thru data. What I found was anything

tturned off before update in cellular data stays off. Guess you could try

downgrading back to iOS 8 changing the data switches then

going back to iOS 9

Exactly right. If you had critical apps turned off like Safari or Google maps your only recourse is a complete reset and start anew-- otherwise your smart phone isn't so smart. Unfortunately there are reports that the reset reverts back to the old settings after a few days. That would be a bummer;

So if you apps were set in a position that basically worked for you, its best to sit and wait for a patch. If on the other hand they are totally screwed up leaving you with no access to the internet you have to at least try the reset/new approach.

And the third option is we all pray, regardless; because this error is a holy mess.

who has new iPhone S? What software version is it running? Any issues!

I refused to do all the back ups and resets and factory reset mode AGAIN.

I did all that and It lasted 2 days. I have been waiting now for 2 weeks for this problem to get solved!!!

I am beyond frustrated. .... not to mention, can you all believe this link: http://money.cnn.com/2015/09/21/technology/apple-ios-9-adoption/index.html

Really!!! "Apple says iOS9 is most successful update ever"
