Apple TV keeps crashing NON-STOP!!!

That's the first thing I did when I saw your post - nothing. Interesting. Would it be region-related? You sure you were on 6.2.1 in the first place?

It looks like juan is definitely right about Apple TV 3. There's a new 7.2.2 version based on iOS 8.4.2. See About Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) software updates - Apple Support. I cannot see any advance on 6.2.1 for ATV 2, but it might be a stealth update, a new build with the same version number.

That´s it, thank you very much, Diana. God, my English is terrible. You need to restore the Apple TV 2 with iTunes to get it, it´s the same 6.2.1 version number but a new build. I suspect it have been released in order to prevent a possible 6.2.1 untethered jailbreak, since a tethered one was possible since last year October.

Anyway, stability when streaming HD seems to be back to pre-6.2.1 levels, no crashes, and no reboots so far for me on Netflix and Hulu. Despite this, is still highly recommended to log out from iCloud and choose default screensaver to prevent further reboots, due to the little RAM available on the device

Also, turning off iTunes Match, seems to help overall UI smoothness

1): Turn off iCloud (from settings menu)

2: Turn off any custom screensaver

3: Turn off iTunes Match.

Hi. I've seen posts saying that switching the screensaver from photos to a built-in option helped with this. Apparently it frees some of the limited storage on the device.

had the same issue and switched to a little Telstra media centre and the problem is solved. Netflix still crashes once in a blue moon but not anything close to what it did on my Apple TV.

This just started happening to me today. Maybe I'll look in to getting an ATV4. :-(

I was able to get it to work for a friend by forcing the video to be Ybpcr and the video output to 1080p

Please give us a fix here. Nothing fixed my crashing apple TV2. So are you apple, forcing an upgrade to a new apple TV? Will this post be deleted since you dont like it?

When I use Apple TV with Youtube it will shut down and restart why is it happening?
