Hi,

I'm having this problem too. I am trying to download XCode also. It also keeps resetting the download to 0 every few hours and that is very frustrating to me.

I am in Malaysia.

My router says that my Mac Mini is downloading from Singapore (sgsin3-vip-bx-007.aaplimg.com and sgsin3-vip-bx-003.applimg.com). The speed is at average 150kbps which is unacceptable because I'm on 20mbps fiber. Watching HD videos in Youtube is not a problem to me.

Already talked to the ISP (TM UniFi), they claim that the line is fine and there is no service issues.

Already talked on to Apple tech support, had to call Singapore because the Malaysian offices are closed. Talked for half an hour, problem was not resolved.

Is there any way I can convince the App Store to download from a different country like say Taiwan or Thailand? The 4 days wait is unacceptable, and I certainly don't like how the app store keeps resetting my download.

You can get the contact numbers from this website: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

Malaysia is 1800-08-3638. However when I called the number I got a recording saying that the line is only open from 9AM to 5PM on weekdays (Mon-Fri). So, I called Singapore (02-6835-1812 for West Malaysia) and talked to them for half hour. Nothing worked, their advise is to bring my Mac Mini to the Apple store instead, when it is clear that the problem is something wrong with Apple's datacenter (already ruled out Internet connection problem when I called the ISP before that).

Ok, this may sound weird but I solved the problem.

I have a mobile broadband dongle from DiGi (a local mobile ISP) that I use for my laptop and tablets when out of home and was reluctant to use because it is ridiculously expensive (RM65 for 8GB of data monthly). Yesterday I decided "what the heck" and after buying a 5GB for 5 days topup for RM50 (reckon it should be enough for a 3.6GB download), reconfigured my router to connect to it instead of to the fiber internet.

I instantly got high speed back and managed to get XCode downloaded within an hour over LTE.

So yeah, but I still I don't know if my fiber ISP is lying to me (unlikely since Youtube HD videos do play flawlessly), Apple's datacenter is having connectivity issues with the fiber ISP, or some other foul play between those two that's mucking up the XCode download.

Yes. I am also having somewhat same problem here in India.

I don't get speeds above 20-40 kbps when downloading updates via Mac Store. Rest everything works fine. I dont seem to understand whats the problem.

I even tried using VPN, but it didn't help.

When I download the XCode update, its getting stuck at 2.44 gb. It goes to 2.45 then again back to 2.44, then to 2.43. It again starts increasing to 2.45 and then decreasing. I dont understand whats going on and whats wrong with these updates. I am really fed up now.

Apple, please see what is the problem. My network is stable and I even tried connecting to a friends network and my mobile network, same problem is happening.
