ios 9 calendar bug

When entering events into the calendar, the app will glitch (not crash); it behaves oddly and/or becomes unresponsive. In saying "behaving oddly" I mean that you can tap other dates on the calendar, sometimes it will respond in switching to the day but not highlight it or let me do anything with it. Then other times it won't do anything and just remains completely unresponsive, not allowing any movement between dates. I close the app then re-open it and then it works again. It's not the end of the world but it is kind of an annoying glitch to have in the 9th iteration of the OS. Come on Apple! Please fix this glitch or I will have to maintain another calendar and if I have to do that then I will simply use another calendar and not yours.

Yes this is a very annoying bug. It happened for me with the IOS 9 update and 9.0.1, 9.0.2 updates did not address the issue.

Issues are:

- Calendar day dot disappears (month view with day description below)

- Info on the day event can be incorrect and showing another days info

- Editing a calendar date will sometimes not "stick" and revert back to the original not matter how many times you try to edit it

- When scrolling to a future date it can skips months, and then displays the wrong month in the top left even though the calendar events are saying the correct month

- Today when creating a new event it put the event on the completely wrong date, a week later! Even though the dot was on the right date

This cost me work as the date displayed had the incorrect info underneath which was from another random date.

Resetting the app fixes it temporarily. Thought it might of been because I was syncing all of my calendar events (a few years worth now), so choose the option to sync only 6 months back. This fixed it for a couple of days until it returned back to its glitchy self. Thanks for opening up the post, I wonder how long it takes the Apple people to see these issues and address them.

SUCCESS! I've discovered the solution to the nonresponsive calendar problem. Like others on this thread, I have been experiencing an inability to get to a specific date from the "month" calendar page. After reading all of the posts and experimenting with my newly updated iPhone 6. (My phone got an iOS 9 update a few days ago, at which point my calendar became unresponsive.)

I have discovered that the solution is ONE VERY QUICK TAP. If you try a leisurely/slow/soft "single-tap" or "double-tap" motion (i.e., the kind of motion that used to work pre-iOS 9 update), it won't work. It has to be quick and clipped motion--more like a very quick/fast poke on the date you want to pull up. It doesn't have to be particularly hard or forceful tap. Just a fast one. The reason that the double tap SEEMS to work is due to the likelihood that the first tap of a two-tap motion is almost always a quick one. Try it and let me know what you find out. Hope it works for you. Works like a charm for me.

Updated iPhone to 9.1, it mentions it resolves unresponsive calander in month view in the description, but today it glitched out again so it hasn't been fully resolved. This also happens on my friends iPhones (iPhone 5s and 6) so it's not just my phone. The dot disappears off the day again as per the original problem. Closing the app and opening it again resolves the problem temporarily, then it happens again.

I have had this problem since iOS 8 disappeared. It is a most irritating problem. I use my calendar app every day and now for quite a bit of time I do not have working alerts. It is irritating as ****. I wish that they would get it fixed this. They haven't fixed it since the beginning of iOS 9 and that is when this started. When I tell it to give me a one day alert and then the second alert is to be for two hours I end up with them switched. If I try to change the second alert it becomes the first alert. If I change the first alert then both the second and the first alert become identical. How is this helpful at all?
