I know after the update I have been having this problem where my text messages get grey out it happens when put it in my pocket or something the only fix I have found is to power rest the phone.
iPhone 4, Windows XP, none
Go in settings, messages, and turn on the number of characters. Worked for me, don't know why !
thanks, settings, messages and turning on character count seems to work..... For nor particular reason
I went into settings - messages and saw that SMS had been turned off so turned it on and is working now. Hope it stays working. Perhaps there is some weird reset happening with the update and any message settings will fix it. I hate updates.
