iOS 9 Push Notification Problems

After installing iOS 9 the push notifications for apps like whatsapp are not working correctly.

No sound or vibrate when I get a message? which is rather annoying.

Also when I take a photo inside the app the volume for the music drops to zero.

I have a 6+ and a 6 and they both have the same problems.

Anyone know if someone is working on a fix?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9, null

I am having this problem also on an iPhone 6. Push notifications and badge notifications are not working for several apps, both default apps and third-party. This is particularly a problem for Reminders as they are no longer indicating due and overdue tasks.

While I have not experienced any issues with Notifications, push or otherwise, iOS 9.0.2 has been released with a few bug fixes, however the release notes do not identify Push notifications as a fix, nor as a problem.

iOS 9.0.2 Release Notes

This update contains bug fixes and improvements including:

- Fixes an issue with the setting to turn on or off app cellular data usage
- Resolves an issue that prevented iMessage activation for some users
- Resolves an issue where an iCloud backup could be interrupted after starting a manual backup
- Fixes an issue where the screen could incorrectly rotate when receiving notifications
- Improves the stability of Podcasts

Same issue here, since iOS 9 my iPhone 6 plus emails not being pushed and i'm having to manually open the email, iPad Air updated but push okay on that.

I need a prompt solution as my jobs come in when i'm out on the road and can't really stop each time to manually check my emails.

Not happy!

i'm also having this issue - sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, with apparently no rhyme or reason as to why. DND is switched off, sound is on and turned up but nothing is coming through. however, they do show in the notification center.

this is translating to apple watch too - i look at my watch and see the red dot that there was a notification but there was no ping or tap. it's really annoying - i've missed important and time sensitive messages!

Same here with Facebook, icon is badged but notifications do not show in banners, on lock screen, in Notification Center or play sounds... Messenger however does work like normal.

tried reinstalling FB app 3 times, multiple hard resets and a clean install of 9.0.2... Getting really aggravating since FB is essential for my job

I also lost push in recent weeks. I'm on the PB 9.1 - was OK previously though. iPhone 6.

I've tried every "fix" I can find on the web - restoring, backing up, new phone, settings, you name it, I've tried it.

I think it's linked to the specific account - my iCloud is migrated from .me and previous to the .mac, maybe that has a bearing.

As a test, I setup a new iCloud account and added to my phone -> the new one pushes, my main account only retrieves when the Mail app is opened.

This is quite infuriating, I must say.

Facebook is the problem here and whatsapp are the ones I noticed mainly

i have iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6

problem across both both devices and tried all of the resets and stuff including factory resets and even new iCloud account.

its extremely frustrating but would help if Apple would actually admit issues , I expect they hope they can hold out till 9.1 release to clear up
