disable reminders on lock screen ios 9

How do I prevent my reminders from showing up on my lock screen?

a) This is a complete invasion of privacy as anyone can pick up my phone and see what I need to do

b) My lock screen has my emergency contact information on it which no one can see if I am seriously injured, etc. now.

This is complete nonsense.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9

I want notifications turned off on the lock screen as well. Neither meg's suggestion nor helico's is working for me. All "today" reminders are off, as are the Today and Notification views under TouchID and Passcode. The reason I want them turned off is that some are long term issues that I really don't need on my lock screen now. This sure is sounding like a bug.

If you have turned off Today and Notifications View off under Touch ID and Passcode and when the device is locked you can still access the Notification pull down, it is something with your individual device, not the iOS. Are you referring to any other notification other than the Notification Center? You are saying that you can pull down the Notification Center when you have those two switches off and access the lock screen? Or are you saying that you can see an individual notification on the lock screen without pulling down the Notification Center.
