iOS 9 - no USB hotspot anymore ...

I do not get it. How can someone (Tim Cook) and some company (Apple) fail so miserably. I had so many issues with the public iOS 9 beta that I better do not write a full bug report. I thought the GM or the final version woud be better. No way. Next bug:

My iPhone 6 running iOS9 will not connect via USB as a hotspot to my MBP with OS 10.10.5. Sure, I can switch on WiFi and connect wirelessly. But the nice part about the personal hotspot was the possiblity to disable WiFi on both devices and to share a 3G/LTE connection via USB directly.

No more...

Anyone experiencing the same issues ? (Not to metion the dozens of other issues these iOS and iTunes updates brought us?)

I am sorry Steve, people that took over from you just don't understand customer satisfaction.

You are trying to tether from the iPhone (satellite/4G/3G) to the computer, yes? Just to confirm.

Mine's working from iPhone 9.0.2 to MBP 10.11 (El Capitan) and the OS version before that.

(Phone is factory unlocked, while I think tethering on most US networks requires a subscription, right?)

And the same as above... MBP, had reinstalled iTunes from link (over the old iTunes), which fixed the problem.

Just upgraded to El Capitan, and tethering still works.

I'm no expert, but I'd try recreating the location, then set up the new service (USB iPhone), in network settings.
