texting problems iOS 9

Since the upgrade my text screen wants to default to landscape and freezes. Also, after voice texting the text box shows a second (0.00) in the box and won't show text - have power off to resolve.

I have this same problem since I updated my software to the lousy iOS 9, but there is no mic to the right of my textbox, so my problem remains. The dictation bar is hovering over my text box which covers the top line of my text. The only way I have found that I can fix this problem is to reboot continuously, but the very minute I use dictation, it reappears all over again. Apple needs to find and fix this problem ASAP with a new update because iOS 9 update is a royal PAIN!!!

We have had a number of people contact me about this issue with 0:00 showing and not being able to see when they're typing. iPhone 4s, 5, and 6.

So far a quick workaround seems to be double-clicking the Home button and swipe up on the Messaging app to close it. Then go back in and it works for a while. Not sure why this keeps happening though.

When is Apple going to fix this "gray 0:00 texting window of death". I've been dealing with it for a month now. All forum "fixes" (subject field, character count, closing app) are only temporary. Problem comes back after a few more reply postings during a thread. This is the worst bug I've ever dealt with using an Apple product and I'm shocked they have been silent. Wake up Apple!!!

Thank you soooooo much! I tried it and it worked. After you find a message that used iMessage, click on the grey microphone symbol on the right and you will get a display that looks like it's simulating sound bars in the text field. There is a small x on the top right above the sound bars. Click on the x and life gets a whole lot better! This was driving me crazy, and I kept having to shut of my phone to get rid of the grey box so that I could text.
