Calendars not syncing after watchOS 2 update?

Successful 2.0 update. iPhone 6 (iOS 9).

Calendars (iCloud, Gmail, and Exchange) not syncing.

  • Unpaired and reset as new
  • Turned off and deleted calendars; turned them back on
  • Multiple reboots
  • Reset sync data multiple times

None of these fix attempts work. I have read that there may be some MDM-related issues.

There definitely is a problem with the MDM. A large number of Apple watch users in my company have reported sync issues on Apple Watch after updating to OS 2.0. Many, like myself, have tested removing the management profile and this solves the issues for Google and other calendars - of course this does not fix the issue with the work calendar... I have a ticket open which is now with Apple engineering, hopefully they'll get a fix out there. It seems strange that this was not tested any better as I work for a huge Apple partner in the mobile space... we sell and deploy our own MDM product in partnership with Apple.

Same issue here. Have been chatting with Apple Support for several hours. They acknowledge they were getting a lot of questions on this issue and has a priority 1 status. A timeline however they could give not .....

Issue is purely related to the WatchOS Upgrade. Till last night with V1.01 no issues, even with very strict MDM policies installed.

So Apple screwed up in their update. They can not expect to have the Apple Watch successful if it becomes dysfunctional due to MDM policies .....

Exactly the same issue not a single calendar showing up on watch after OS2 Update, Works perfectly before. I have the following calendars on iPhone (iOS9)

1. iCloud Calendars

2. Exchange calendar from work with mdm profiles and air watch

3. Subscribed calendars

zero showing up on watch. Hope someone from Apple reading this forum and actively addressing in a 2.0.1 update

+1 Was on the phone with Apple for over 2 hours trying to fix this also. They have no solutions to resolve this. I find it strange my work emails get pushed, but Calendars are not allowed to be shared. I wish apple would resolve this quickly considering their was already issues with the past OS and calendars not syncing. However I doubt it will be considering we represent a small population of users with issues based off what I have seen on forums.

Being an IBM employee, I'm really confused here. Apple has longed for years to find entries into the enterprise, and they have started to gain great traction in them. But now, a group of developers fail to account for the syncing of calendar events in a OS update (where it had worked before).

As a long time Apple proponent, this is very disappointing and reinforces the notion that for about 5 years, QC has really taken a back seat to annual product releases at the expense of customer loyalty.

tT's a shame that Apple has been sucked in the annual update cycle, because they clearly can't keep up with the rigors.

I have the same issue and have placed a ticket with Apple help a week ago. While Apple has been good in communicating the status to me via emails and calls there is no fix. Today I received a call that the ticket is with the enterprise help desk and its a known issue and being worked. They confirmed that there is no ability to roll back the operating SW on the watch - so I think the only option is to wait. The solution will be either a specific work around or a new release to OS2.

My my recommendation is to place calls to Apple help and point them to this community to avoid having them suggest resetting your watch, etc.... The more noise they get on this issue the faster there will be a solution.

I am running a iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.1 and Apple Watch OS2 and have the MDM profile noted earlier in this community.

Comically, I have no calendar entries (usually my iCloud, wife's iCloud, Family iCloud and Work Enterprise) on my Watch other than Birthdays (as presumably they are lifted from Contacts) yet they are all visible in Fantastical on the Watch (including via Glance).

I do have MDM but it seems pretty light in terms of restrictions.

Wagers please. Do we get a Fantasical complication before Apple fix the problem with their own native app?
