My text messages are delayed since updating to ios9.

This is definitely a carrier and/or an apple iMessage issue. Don't waste your time resetting your phone again. It is super annoying though and wish the carriers/Apple would admit there is a known problem.

This is actually a pretty common problem, try setting your date to January 1st, 1970. If that doesn't work you may need a new phone. How old is it?

Got my phone in July 2015. Brand New. what does changing the date do?

And I doubt all these people need new phones.

This isn't an iPhone issue, it's a carrier one. My brother has an android phone and experiences the same issues. He's on AT&T. He actually got them to admit the issue is on their side. They said that the actually store your messages on their servers before they send them out and sometimes they get back logged and not sent. Everytime it happens though, he calls and they comp him for that day.

I'm shocked. AT&T is famous for blaming anyone but themselves. Lol. I have them too and I know it's a carrier issue. Except with iMessage. That's apple and it happens with them too. Especially with photos being sent twice, once as iMessage and once as sms. But thats the same thing. They get backed up on the iMessage service too, so the sms takes over and then both end up going through. Technology is far from perfect. It's just annoying.

co workers and I have this same issue. All on AT&T. It's in our group text and 3 of us have iPhone 6s and one has an android, so it's a group MMS. Each of us with the iPhone will occasionally not receive any texts for hours or the next day.

I'll get like 50 texts out of no where and they all have the original time stamp.

I've reset network settings

Toggled iMessage on and off.

Even updated to newest iOS.

New SIM from AT&T

nothing has worked. This problem only occurs with group mms not iMessage.

I just wanted to reply to this post because I spent a bunch of time with AT&T & Apple & your suggestion was the only thing that worked! I don't know if it's permanent but at least having a way to fix it is VERY nice. Everyone try this!!!
