My text messages are delayed since updating to ios9.

Anyone else having this problem? I get some messages a day later and it shows the timestamp that the message was initially sent. Like I received a message today at 5:28 pm and it was sent yesterday at 6:05 pm. Some messages only have a 9 hour delay. People are not receiving all the messages that I send. I'm sending to apple and android users. I have an iphone6. I'm also getting a message from an unknown sender saying "service denied".

Well, Thanks for update.

Hopefully AT&T and Apple work together and find a fix for this quickly.

It is kind of annoying to be out of the loop all the time, and receive messages a lot later. At least it's only group messages, not not individual SMS. However, it still gets annoying because the people in my group will not text me individually since group text all works for them and it saves them time from having to message each person individually. With that said, I am always late receiving info, or not even get them at all. I'm not even sure. At this point, I think I'm paranoid that it doesn't work, since my messages has been rather quiet as of late, which is very weird.

I wonder what the fix will be. Will Apple come out with a new iOS? Or, is this something AT&T has to do on their end. If 9.0.2 works with other carriers, surely AT&T would have to do something on their end right.................................................??????????

by any chance, could this be a sim card issue? I never had this problem when I was using my iphone 5s last week. This started for me when I upgraded to the 6s and used the sim card that came inside with it. Is it possible that if I swap out the sim card that I used with the 5s, it could potentially work? Just willing to try anything here I guess.

I just received confirmation from my friend that I am still missing group text messages. This time it's worst though. I'm not even receiving them days later. I'm just missing them completely. Before at least, if I don't get them on time, I would get them a few days later. Now, I don't even get them at all.

I decided to contact AT&T in regards for an update to my case that I put in last week. This is the response I got.

MMS is transmitted over the cellular (data) network. But data DOES need to be enabled to send and receive group and picture texts. Advice the customer to cross verify the Application settings and ensure the customer is removed from the Group.

Group Messages are non att related. Advice the customer to check the Group settings on the Handset

this has got to be one of the worst response I've gotten. I'm still missing group messages ! It's not even coming in late anymore. I'm just not getting them at all !

I just updated to 9.1 too, but I don't think that fixed it for me.

I have been having this problem for SO long, and it started way before iOS9. Sadly I've learned to live with it because nobody wants to take blame for it ....but just to clarify..... The only group I chat with involves myself and 2 family members. 2 of us are on a family plan with AT&T using iphones. The other has AT&T but uses a Samsung Galaxy 4. We ALL have the issue, but not at the same time. So now we have a code word to use when we are stepping out of the conversation. If I don't see it from them, I know to reboot my phone. When I do, I get flooded with all the messages I missed.

I'm seriously getting tired of having to do this, so I hope it is addressed soon.....by SOMEBODY!
