Exchange calendar not syncing after iOS 9 update

I am using google Apps for business (no two steps authentication) and Exchange calendar stops syncing after iOS 9 update (now running on iOS 9.0.1) . It is happening both on iPad and iPhone and started after the update.

I have already tried resetting both devices (and set up as new device without restoring from iCloud backups), it works for a few hours and then it stops again. The temporary solutions of either disabling the calendar sync and re-enable it or deleting the Exchange account and setting it up again, works for only a few hours.

Does anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Google Apps uses Activesync. Think people just add the exchange part in. But anyways. Just heard back on my Google case.

The issue you described is a known issue that is currently being investigated. For your reference, it’s issue#blanked and it is affecting users in iOS 9, 9.0.1, 9.0.2. There is currently no ETA for the fix, but it is being worked on with high priority.

So they are well aware of it.

Update: So I reached out to our contacts at Apple to ask for direction on this issue. No response. I then asked our Google Apps admin to open a ticket with Google and see if they could help. They responded back, as stated by others, that it is a known issue on Google's side, engineers are working on it, not ETA on fix yada, yada, yada. Their work around suggestion was to download the Google Calendar App. They sent me a link to their known issues page. Below is a screenshot of the Calendar Sync problem and suggested work arounds.
