iPhone 6S freezes after unlock

Hi all,

I received my iPhone 6S 128GB silver today and I have a problem with it:

When unlocking via fingerprint (which is very fast!!!) the home screen freezes.

So, it unlocks normally, the home screen with all apps shows up but then freezes.

It happens every 2nd or 3rd time I unlock my phone and when the standard home screen shows up.

It freezes for 5-6 second and no matter what I do, the phone doesn't show any reaction - even pushing the home button or the on-off-button.

I restarted the phone several times, "normal" and also restart with "home- & on/off-button"...

Is anyone of you having same issues?

cheers

Can confirm the same issue. I did NOT restore from backup, it was a clean install. Iphone 6s 64GB space grey.

I came here to write the exact same thing, the touch sensor is wicked fast, but every few times, I get a 2-5 second "freeze" on the home screen. Occationally I'll be able to hit an app before it freezes, and then it is jumpy in the app for a few seconds.

My friend just got his and complains about the same thing.

I upgraded as soon as the final release was available, and yes I can confirm it appears to be fixed! I have had no lag when unlocking since Monday, I have also restarted my phone and the issue hasn't come back. I noticed today just once when unlocking there was one instance but that is it, possibly just a one off.

I Have 6S Plus 128 gig and have been plagued by the 'freezing after unlocking issue' from day one, I had my doubts about 9.3 but it feels like a new phone, smooth and no freezing.

Very happy.

Dang

Updates did not work

Now on 9.3.3

Also did carrier updates (elisa or ATT? - it doesn't say)

BUT

The twist trick seems to work

Did something happen to the phone while traveling?

We will never know

Started up a WiFi connect and it seems to be a bit better behaved, which would point to carrier issues...

The BIG question now is:

Whether or not the problem persists when I get back to the States in a few weeks

Only time will tell

SOLUTION

All righty

The flex thing worked for the short term - why? I have no idea but it kinda sorta works.

Ended up having to do a complete "restore", which appears to have cured the freeze frustration.

How to:

First using iTunes/Photos, back-up all of the phone & disconnect the cable.

Local to "this computer" likely faster

then

starting from iCloud, find device and erase the phone.

That's right, scorch earth. Completely swipe the phone.

The device is now recognized as completely new.

Connect the cable & launch iTunes, then restore from back-up you did just before you swiped the phone.

Restore takes a while and some things will need to be reentered, like wallet stuff.

BUT

well worth the hour or so as the freeze issues are magically wiped away...

Seems to work. Will post if they come back. Better not!

Hope this works for others with Freeze Frustration

As to the why my 6S went bad after flying SFO->AMS?

Any thoughts on that?
