My iPhone stops playing music when taking photos?!

It could be because the camera can be opened from the lock screen as well as the control centre. Normally when you open the control centre whilst using the phone, the music is paused, so I imagine this is related to that.

I have reported this to Apple multiple times, most recently today because it GOT WORSE yesterday -- I was unable to take a picture while on the phone!!! That is just ridiculous; we have had that ability with iPhone since 2007.

mmeanwhile I'm so frustrated! I don't even use my phone for taking pictures anymore because the experience is horrible. Also I don't understand why apple isn't fixing this bug. Don't the developers use their iPhones?

does anyone know if this bug is fixed in 9.3 beta 4? In beta 3 it wasn't fixed at all but I still hope apple repairs their product with the next update!

Did you all report the bug to Apple? I mean, it doesn't look like apple cares about this bug. Maybe there are worse bugs, but maybe it’s just no one reported it or didn't report it as much as we should report it. Reported it, with great effort and back-and-forth (read the earlier posts in this topic), multiple times. Provided video of the issue. many calls, many emails, many reports sent.

Yes, I agree! If everyone who is having this issue will report it to apple, it could help.

I reported it. I know a bunch of other folks have too. Still broken. Really Apple? Please fix this. Very frustrating.

I dont’t know if I’m allowed to post this, but in my bug report there was an answer today, telling me there isn't any new information available for this issue. The person has checked with engineering and the issue is still under investigation, and there is no resolution available yet. THIS is frustrating. I mean, this issue exists since the iPgone 6S’ release! But now I start to repeat myself …

👿 Is this is so ridiculous I mean Tim should be all over this and in the days of Steve Jobs somebody would've got fired over this seriously this is such a ridiculous bug because you can use your phone to take pictures and listen to music at the same time in the messages app but you cannot do it on any other place on ip6s!! Try it!!!! huge bug absolutely an enourmous bug and I would kick somebody's butt over this if I was working at Apple! Get it together i mean dont make people think its a hardware issue Apple!!! Well I'll be darned. Sure enough as you said, you can take a photo in imessage, and the audio does not stop. I also tried the camera in Lightroom mobile, and the audio continues to play. The disadvantage to either of these is that you don't have the quick launch option as with the native camera.

This problem came about when they added the "Live" photo option. I turned it off first thing. Neither I, nor anyone I know, use this function.

Argh! Still not fixed in 9.3. I and many others have reported this bug. Why won't Apple listen and fix it? It should only be a couple lines of code to fix this!
