iPhone 6s Plus lag iOS 9.0.1

I'm using a 128GB iPhone 6s Plus (AT&T). Screen is unresponsive from waking the device after it's been locked for a considerable amount of time. It takes about 3-5 seconds before it finally starts to respond to touch. Can't go into any app or change home screens during this short period. After it starts launching and switching apps very quick and snappy but this happens a lot right out of the box. Another repeating issue is navigating the settings menu. The selection hangs for a bit before advancing to the next screen. Who else is experiencing this? Wasn't there a public beta? Come on Apple fix this.

I'm using 64GB iPhone 6s (Verizon). And having the exact same issue with the screen being unresponsive from waking the device after it's been locked for a considerable amount of time.

Same issue 128gb 6s Plus (EE) and on both the 9.0.0 AND 9.0.1 have a much more noticeable lag than on my old iPhone 5s

Ditto. Bought a sim free 128gb 6s Plus yesterday and have exactly the same issue. Let's hope it's just a software thing!

Same issue on a 6s. Particularly annoying when trying to snap a quick photo. Definitely 6s specific - my old 6 is fine on 9.0.1

i think it might be ios 9 because I called yesterday and they told me iOS 9 is still pretty buggy. But since I hard reset my phone yesterday I haven't had any issues so far. Thank god I'm not alone. Hopefully it's just iOS 9 and not my phone

I also have the same issue. It has a delayed response when waking it up and have to give it a few moments, and then it reacts. After it has "warmed up" it seems to be fine. Little disappointed with the issue, but I know apple will fix.

I'm having the exact same issue iPhone 6s Plus 128gb model. It sounds like there's an issue with some of the phones. I'm considering returning since I never had this issue with my prior iPhone.

I've brought two iphone 6s, one is 64GB and its fine. Another is 128GB and have this issue. So annoying.

If I had set it up as a new phone and was having 3-5 seconds of the screen not responding to touch, I would contact Apple ASAP. If you purchased it from an Apple Store, I recommend taking it back during the 13-day return window and they may have replacement stock. If purchased from somewhere else, Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

The fact that others are having the same issue (I have posted this question in other forums as well with same feedback), this seems to be a software issue. I'm hoping Apple already knows about this issue and this picks up steam here as well. I am in the wireless business and will check in with the carriers to see if they are hearing the same thing from their customers and how they are handling it. I know some carriers the minute you walk out of their store, any issues must go directly to Apple. I guess it wouldn't hurt to check with Apple.

All I had to do is restart the phone. turn it off then back on and it seems to work fine. Good luck to you, hope it works for all of you
