Apple applied for a loan in my name?
Apple applied for a loan in my name in the apple store. I went in to sign up for the upgrade plan. I handed the sales person my credit card and ID. He asked me for my SSN. I asked if he was pulling my credit and he responded NO. I then said if you are pulling my credit I don't want to sign up for the plan. I explained that I am applying for a loan to buy a commercial property and I was told not to let anyone run my credit. He replied, No this is not checking your credit. So I gave him my SSN. Ten seconds later he said the amount I was trying to pay exceeded the limit. I showed him my credit card statement on the app the card company uses and the available credit was 9k. I said you must have done something wrong!! He said no its from Citizens Bank, or whatever bank apple uses. He said they denied you. At this point I asked what the **** is going on? I got an email saying I applied for a loan. A loan for $1000+ and I assume I was denied for the loan. My credit score is better than average but they did a hard pull on my credit for a phone without my consent. Nobody will return my calls. I called the apple store and they gave me a number to call. I was forwarded to a voice mail box over and over and never got a call back. I need an email address so I can file my complaint and see if they can contact the credit agencies to fix this problem. I am going to file a complaint with the Virginia State Corporation Commission Monday. If anyone has any information that can help me please forward me the email or phone number for someone who can help me. I need this resolved before mid October.
Thanks in advance
