iPhone 6S Screen Scratches

Anyone else experience small surface scratches on their 6S? I knew it was an issue with the 6 and only one day after owning the phone, I notice small surface scratches. Phone has only been in my pocket, not exposed to keys or anything.

Having the same issue and already on my second phone. First one came with two deep scratches out of the box. It took some convincing but I got the local apple store to replace it. This second phone looked great (I checked before leaving) and now after only a couple weeks I have many tiny scratches on the top and bottom of the phone, which aren't a big deal, but this morning I found one major scratch on the screen. This one I can feel with my nail, it is a deep divot. I've never scratched an iPhone like this before and my old 5 I had for 3 (rough) years before upgrading to the 6s.

Anyone else have any updates? I guess I should call AppleCare?

After two weeks of normal use I have one scratch that I can feel clearly with my nail. I always wear the phone in my jacket and avoid trousers. Also I avoid putting coins or keys altogether. I didn't have this problem with my iphone 4. When I bought my phone in the apple store of Valencia, I also bought the silicon case. The seller insisted to me to buy also a plastic film for the sceen, in a suspicious way. I told I wanted to feel the screen, and that I hadn't had any problem with my iphone 4. Now I understand what she meant.

SO annoyed. I bought my phone monday. And haven't even put it in my purse and scratches appeared the other day on my screen. we pay a lot of money for thesr phone and for it to scratch this easy? It's not okay. Apple needs to do something. I'm hoping that I can exhange my phone since I haven't even owned it for a week. Sadly I didn't buy mine from Apple i bought mine from sprint and they charge to exhange. We don't have a local Apple Store and I don't feel like driving an hour to exchange it.

So, for the replacement, did you have to pay extra for that? I just got my 6s for like 2 months now and I've had one very obvious scratch although I did nothing to it - I literally just stayed home these past days and barely touch my phone. I called the Apple store (which linked me to a Genius), and he said the replacement with a new device will charge me $129 because I don't have AppleCare+. This really upsets me. I've had my 4s for almost 3 years and not once have it scratched no matter how often I dropped it.

I upgraded my 5S to 6S on 27 Nov. In the past I have had the first iPhone, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S and 5S and as i always keep my phone in its own pocket with nothing else, I have never had a scratch before. As I now only get the "S" versions both my 4S and 5S were 2 years old when I replaced them and they didnt have any scratches at all.

My 6S is under 2 months old and is literally covered in tiny scratches and even has a few deep ones. Apple have dropped the ball with the 6S glass.

If Apple has traded its previous fantastic scratch resistance for a screen which is less likely to break if its abused, I wont be a happy bunny. I know lots of people break the screens on their phones but that is because they just dont look after them. The only way a screen will break is by rough treatment. And before people start claiming their phone screen broke all by itself, think again... They only break if they are dropped, crushed, bent, set fire to, stood on, ran over by a herd of elephants or other similar abuse... FACT so live with it.

Changing the glass to protect "Some" careless users at the cost of "All" users who actually look after their phones is not acceptable when we pay so much for them.

I googled and found quite a few other iphone 6s users in the same situation. The top hit from google takes to this thread where I am unable to post anything new. It says Branched to a new discussion. but gives "unauthorized" error message when try to access that.

My iphone 6s plus not only has scratches but even a small chip. This happened after less than 30 days of very normal use. The phone never fell, and was not abused or even used roughly. Both me and my spouse carried iphone 5s for two years with hardly scratches on them. Actually none of my previous iphones and even cheap android phones were in such a bad shape even after long usage.

Now, I understand that is is glass. But you don't expect a $850 device to have chips within a month with just normal usage. If the only way to protect chips and scratches is to use a screen saver then apple should actually ship phones with screen savers on them. This is ridiculous.

I took it to local apple store and the person on duty refused to do anything about it.

Any ideas on what I can do next?
