iphone 6s animated wallpaper not working

to make wallpaper animate, Setting -> wallpaper -> alive -> set lock screen -> restart your phone

If that's the case, they should note this when selecting the wallpaper instead of causing me to think something is messed up with my phone and having me Google it to figure something so basic out. Also the old way of switching between apps was better. I could see the whole app. Made it easier reply to texts with info from emails, etc... WTH is up with Apple these days? I've got a MBP, ipads, and all their phones. I'm not hating but some of their software has had a lot more problems lately compared to their previous standards.

There's no glitch in the software

Same thing happened to me, it's because the live wallpaper and perspective wallpapers don't work when low power mode is on.

What is the purpose of this if it doesnt work ?

HI! I got it!! :-D Press bit deeper on wallpaper lock screen its works. You can press bit deeper on apps too, You will feel the click from vibrate.

You need to PRESS the screen NOT touch, really worked 🙂

I Found the best solution

just when hen you make the photo as wallpaper , make move and scale for the photo

and then the Live option will activated then set the wallpaper and it will work 100%

I cant use Live-Photos, the option "Live" is just not available for these picture when changing the backround picture, only the apple picture in the live folder for backgrounds are available with this option. i am on 9.2.1. A bit disgusting.

I recently got the Iphone 6s as well and was having the same issue then realized that to animate the screen it is not only tapping the screen. To animate the screen it is done in a two step motion: first, lightly tap the screen, then firmly press the screen. So, tap then, firmly press. Hope this helps anyone with the same issue!!!!

So I've just paid £699 to upgrade to a phone partly based on advertising that showed a cool moving lock screen and it turns out that's just an advertising gimmick, you don't actually get that really? Like the adverts also showed it making calls but you don't get that either? I want the motion to work when I wake the phone up (exactly like live photos on the Apple Watch) not when I press on the screen. How lame a demo is that to show friends? 'Wait a minute, its gonna do it I just have to press here. There, cool huh?' No, its not. Am I missing something or do you really have to press the screen to activate the motion?! 😮

I also changed 3D Touch setting to "light"
