iphone 6s animated wallpaper not working

I just discovered this feature after receiving an iPhone 6s Plus to replace my broken 6plus a few days ago. I have been impressed with its speed and such. But was blown away when looking at adds and demos for the phones new features. I couldnt wait to try them myself!

Then I hit a wall. These animated wall papers didnt work. ***? Tried rebooting, no luck. Was going to try a factory reset, but then decided to google it first. Glad I did. Turns out its just a marketing ploy, plain and simple.

The adverts make it look like it just does it. Its just animated all the time, or anytime the screen is on (exactly as would be expected for an ANIMATED wall paper), but no. You need to activate it. I'm sorry Apple, but thats MORONIC. Its not animated if I need to do something to it.

I am so very glad I didnt have to pay anything for this phone. The phone insurance didnt have an iPhone 6plus available to replace mine that broke, so they gave me a free upgrade to the 6s plus (in rose gold of course (puke!!!!) but im going to cover it anyway so not a deal breaker). The animated wallpaper would have been a reason to buy it over the other iphones. But seeing as its based on a lie (tm) by Apple, I would be asking for my money back by now.

Thing is, Apple knows it has enough sheople to buuy their products that they dont give a ****. They will continue to hype up a product and under deliver.

Apple should have stuck with the Apple II series and improved upon that instead. Then we would have some very affordable and RELIABLE computers. But I digress, APPLE, just do it right, and quit making **** like this.

It only works on the lock screen and you need to press the screen to force it to animate. Not really a feature. Just a curiosity as they could have made it auto-animate.

Iit only works on the lockscreen by the way try to press where the date is with your left hand thats how it worked for me

Dude you need to press the screen harder it will work

Don't touch gently just press it harder.

And live wallpapers only works on lock screen not home screen

On my iPhone 6 it's not showing any live wallpapers when I'm in the settings... what do I do

The iPhone 6 doesn't support 3D Touch which means that it cannot use Live Wallpapers. Only the iPhone 6s, 6s+, 7, and 7+ can use Live wallpapers since those iPhones support 3D Touch.

Honestly I believe you just have to give your phone a few mins to process the live image. That worked quite well for me because it is basically a video wall paper
