Apple Maps Not Working in iOS 9

Is this a known issue? Apple Maps on my iPhone 6 has stopped working in iOS 9. I tried restoring my phone, that didn't work. I tried erasing all content and settings and setup as a new phone, and that didn't work. I installed the public beta of 9.1 and that didn't work. Location services are on and it doesn't work on either cellular or WIFI.

The app loads but doesn't download any map data (so it basically just shows an empty grid). Google maps works without a problem. Any thoughts on a fix?

Mine is still broken on 9.0.1... maybe a server-side issue?

Strangely the problem went away. For three to four days Apple Maps did not work - being there was only an empty grid screen at startup which never resolved into anything further - and then on the following morning with no updates to the IOS (was running 9.0.2 on an iPhone 6s) or any of the apps Apple Maps worked. This was quite strange and I presume there was a server side "fix" as there was no client side changes.

Good day all

ios upgrades continue to fix one thing and break another. I restored my 6plus because my phone kept dropping cell phone conversations when connected to my Honda's hands free Bluetooth...connect for a few and drop out for a few seconds. I did a restore which was painful due to time and resetting of various settings. My latest issue is indeed related to maps in that accuracy of locations is gone...something is now amiss with gps even though it finds where I am (doesn't find the accurate loacation of what I had searched for - off by less than a mile on the same street, but wrong address)

Turning wifi off while in the car has seemingly worked to resolve phone call issues...yet I have read that wifi should be on to enhance location functions.

Regardless, wifi on or off doesn't help me find addresses accurately.

suggestions would be most welcome.

THank you
