Large graphic novels crash iBooks in iOS 9

I have the same issue since ios 9. My IPT Pipe Trades book crashes iBook every time I try to open it. It's very annoying since I use it very frequently for my job.

Anyone have an update on this? I know some have submitted tickets through Apple.

I'm having the same issue with The Walking Dead Compendium 2. Hope this is fixed soon. Set up a ticket with Apple support. Will post if any progress if made.

Opened ticket for this. Refunded money for purchase, removed from iBooks. Didn't solve anything.

iOS 9.1 was just released. Wonder if it fixed this problem?

NOPE!! Just updated to 9.1, and it still doesn't work. But we've got 150 new emojis.

My 552 page IPT Pipe Trades ibook now works since I updated to 9.1 on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air

Any word on TWD compendium? I am having the same issue opening the book. ibooks crashes every time I try to open the compendium books.

Confirmed. Still no good. After upgrading to 9.1, my iPad 2 did work well on my TWD Compendium 2 up past page 700, however after a day, when I went back to continue reading, crashed again and now iBooks is back where it was before. Crashing immediately once I try to open the book.

Yes. Definitely not fixed for 9.1.......which is discouraging. I've sent in log files and videos showing the crash, and have gotten "thanks, really helpful info" emails....but don't know if they originated with the engineers or the go-between. My suspicion is the latter. And since this issue primarily affects readers of large graphic novels, the engineers will probably address this when they have nothing better to do. Perhaps I'll be happily proved wrong.

I sent another email to Apple support, since they never responded to my initial inquiry (other than the automated "we got your email and will be in touch within 48 hours" reply).

I'm still holding out on purchasing TWD Compendium 3 for this very reason.

It turns out TWD Compendium 2 seems to work fine on my macbook, but that is far from the preferred method for me to read my ebooks.

Anyone else heard back from Apple recently?

I had contacted Apple about this, but all I got was the standard " reset your phone, delete and re-download, need to do a full restore". I tried everything except for the full restore and decided just to go ahead and get a refund for my purchases. Unfortunately I will now have to buy them in print.

I've been able to reach somewhere around page 850 without any problems, but then the crashing problem occurred.

I resynchronised my phone with iTunes and after I disconnected my phone it suddenly worked well again.

Later, when I reached page 898, I stopped reading and later I wasn't able to open it anymore.

I just deleted it from my phone and iTunes, resynchronized, re-downloaded and resynchronized again and it finally opened (and on the correct page), but the pages remained blank.

I closed and reopened iBooks and now again it crashes. Frustrating stuff.

I am contacting you as I have received word from our Investigation Team.

They have found errors with this particular iBook in the Store. Pages keep crashing and not loading properly.

They are working on a resolution as we speak. I cannot give you a confirmed resolution date as this may take a while.

As soon as I have further updates on this, I shall e-mail you.

And is it me, or did anyone else notice that TWD Compendium 3 is no longer on sale in the iBook store?

Compendium 3 is back up for sale, but I'm hesitant, because I haven't heard back about any fix for the crash issue. Anyone heard of an update?
