iOS 9 phone app freeze

After update 9.0.1 phone app on my iPhone 6 64Gb begin to freeze.

Following advices from plenty of forums (such as rebooting, resetting settings, clearing recent calls menu and so on) phone app begin to respond. But after some time (always less then 5 hours) it freezes again.

What's happend, Apple?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.1, 64 Gb

I had this problem too. I didnt try to remove my SIM but I did try to reset settings, restore from iTunes (a couple of times) and twice from iCloud backup as well. Nothing seemed to fix my problem. Then I tried something different. My Phone app was syncing contacts from iCloud, gmail (because I had android before) and a few of my official email accounts. I figured I needed only iCloud and gmail so I turned the other contacts off. It fixed my problem straight away. No more freezing of the phone app. Hope this helps.


P.S: I am using iOS 10.0.2 on iPhone 6S
