iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage getting stuck

Same problem here. Been playing the game The island castaway lost world and been changing system date and time to get extra life.

Chatted with Apple online for 4 times, and they arranged a call yesterday.

I told them about this discussion board and the issue, but all they could suggest was to reset to factory setting. I didn't bother because I noticed someone in this discussion board tried and it did not help.

I haven't changed the time after the call, and the indicator works fine.

Anyway, it seems that Apple is not taking this bug seriously.

Same problem. I already replace a new 6s. Same result. Restore the backup many many times. Same result. Reset to factory setting. Same result. Hey! Apple, can you here me?

I have the same issue, iPhone 6s, battery randomly stuck on a percentage, restart then showing the corrent number. This is because I changed the datetime when I playing the Candy Crush for more lives. after i stop changing the datetime, this issue was gone. let's waiting for Apple to provide a solution in the future.

Just updated to iOS 9.1... still same issue when I change the time... Percentage gets stuck when I initially change the time and stays @ that % until a reset. I've already swapped my phone out. My theory is Apple will NOT fix this issue. Fix = less revenue for game developers. Fix = admitting that there is an issue with new hardware "talking" to software as the iPhone 6 plus does NOT have this issue. Typical apple non response. If they don't admit it, it doesn't exist.

I had the same issue since the 2nd week using my phone (early October) and I visited genius bar after 2 weeks of reset/restore with no luck. The guy suggest me to restore from DFU mode and that fixed the problem for 10 days until I updated to 9.1.

The guy from genius bar told me to have the phone swapped if happened again so I might just go and do so and see if I will be lucky. While I do think it's a software issue, I am also wondering why it's not getting more attention or reported from more people?

Anyways, for you already swapped to a new phone, maybe try DFU, setup as new phone then restore. At least that fixed my issue for 10 days.

HI, been having this same issue but since I stopped changing the date the problem seems to have resolved itself. I did go to an Apple Genius Bar but the employee treated me like I was wasting her time. Not very impressed that Apple would hire someone with such a poor attitud but I digress. She told me that they were unaware of the issue & that I needed to restore my phone. I told her I had already done that but she insisted telling me I needed to so she could document it on my support ticke. Oh well I just hope this is addressed in a future update as I don't think it's a hardware issue but a software issue.

Ok, so what do you mean by "restore from DFU mode"?

I'm having this same problem, but I don't play any games on my Iphone 6s Plus...

Backup the phone with iTunes then DFU mode -> restore and update -> setup as new phone -> restore from iTunes backup.

There are videos about how to enter DFU mode (power up without loading bootlog), you can just google it.

To make sure if you successfully enter DFU mode, check if the screen is black instead of showing plug in the cable sigh, that's the difference between DFU and recovery, though on iTunes it will still says the phone is in recovery mode.

Same issue here. I do play Candy Crush and change the date, but I had this issue the day I got the phone and hadn't played Candy Crush yet. I did restore from a backup when I got the phone. (Had been on a 5s.) The only thing that fixes it is a reboot.

I'm having this issue as well with my iphone 6s.

I've noticed this since day one, never changed the date.

Though when I charge it with my computer rather than a wall plug, it seems to charge normally.

Hardware or software isssue, that's totally unacceptable not to have an accurate reading of the battery status, I mean it's one the most basic features to have on a phone yet they somehow managed to mess this up...

We shoudn't have to reboot the phone to have an accurate reading, and I can't see how this problem went passed QC undetected.

Anyways, I've asked for an exchange, so just have to hope for the best.

I get this issue whether I plug it into an outlet or my computer.

Is everyone who is having this battery indicator problem using the standard Apple charge cord? Or another brand? Was on chat with Apple today and he suggested that it's possible my charge cord (Monoprice Luxe) isn't very compatible and making the indicator askew. I've been using only the Monoprice Luxe since I got the phone and it could be an issue I suppose.

I get this issue whether I plug it into an outlet or my computer.

I charge using Apple cords.
