iPhone 6 Glass Screen Protectors do not work on 6s

Picked up my new iPhone 6s on Friday. Always have used glass screen protectors on all my iPhones. Currently have the Zagg HD Glass on my work phone (iPhone 6 Plus). Anyway, picked up new 6s, grabbed a Zagg Invisible Shield HD Glass protector. Went to apply it, and it will not seat the entire edge of the device. About 1/4" in from the edge towards the center, it leaves about 1/4" gap where you can visibly see the glass protector has not seated the glass all the way.

Long story short, 6 screen protectors later, tried using an off brand at the kiosk at a local mall, (made for iPhone 6), and same deal. Was at the Apple store earlier, and told that the glass in the 6s is the same exact curvature as the 6. Went back to the Apple store later that day, was told the curvature is completely different.

The gentleman who sold me the off brand protector at the mall kiosk said he had the same exact issue with a customer earlier that day, had them return the phone (6s) for a new one and he was able to apply the protector no problem. At this point I walked into the Apple store and was told that the curvature is different and need to wait for new protectors spec'd to fit the 6s.

I know Zagg makes the Glass Luxe for the 6s, but I am not a fan of the colors.

My question is, can anyone confirm the curvature of the glass is in fact different than the 6? I've applied numerous Zagg Glass protectors on my 6 and never has this issue.

Just an update to this issue. I have 3 iphone 6 at home (not 6s) and they all have different curvature levels as well. Same brands, same package items, they fit well on some iphones and not so well on another...

So this problem exists on original iphone 6 as well. I think they have updated the curvature level, because the ones with "problems" are the newest ones, manufactured recently (Aug 2015).

Cheers!

Yes, I have the same problem. It is vexing to have this mini glass protector with dust collecting around the edges. It looks bad! I tried to return my screen protector to the store and they refused to accept it. Argh!

I got to thinking about this issue and feel it may be caused by both the protective case and the glass screen protector. The protective case was labeled for iPhone 6/6s. Needless to say, the case is slightly small for my 6s because it was not originally made to fit the 6s. The case seems to pull a little farther off of the glass area because it is having to stretch to fit the slightly larger phone...this, in turn, causes the screen protector (that does not fit right) to appear even smaller over the glass area. Double whammy! Please manufacturers, can't you get your act together and design both a case and screen protector that fit the 6s?

Apple provides the specifications for their devices that are to be used when developing accessories. Though the specifications are more developed for cases than screen protectors, you can clearly see the differences in the screens between the 6 and 6s models. It is not up to Apple but the manufacturer to adhere to the specifications for proper fitment.

They will not do anything about this unless the 3d Touch is not working properly. At least that's my opinion.

First of all, I’d like to thank you very much for efforts and first class information.

This equipment manufacturer involvement sounds like poor. They, at least, always have the alternative to design and produce the necessary accessories to assure their equipment integrity. Only in order to protect the owners investment and enjoyment throughout some time, wich could be taken as one of their actual responsibilities.

Additionally, there is a full trade agreement through Apple Store (online), between Apple and their equipments accessories manufacturers, that sounds like if there were an Apple minimum quality control over them.

For examples:

1. Apple says and, as we’ve learned after, it isn’t true: "Your iPhone is beautiful. Give it a complement. We design every element of the iPhone experience with great care, and that includes the accessories that go with it. The same designers who meticulously craft and refine iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus also create a range of accessories to make them even more personal." http://www.apple.com/iphone-6s/accessories/

2. iPhone 6 glass screen protectors avalilable in Apple Store (online) are for both 6 and 6s, the same, and they are different: the protector for 6 doesn’t fit 6s http://www.apple.com/shop/product/HH0G2ZM/A/belkin-trueclear-invisiglass-screen- protector-for-iphone-6

Note: in the iPhone 6s Dimensional Drawing, as a significative instance, the device thickness and the screen external dimensions and edges axial curvature radius are not specified.

Just installed a Cupert Phantom screen protector on my 6s. Doesn't look quite as bad as some photos I've seen, but as others have said it does not fit properly. I've only heard about this problem on the "s", so I'm thinking maybe the curve around the edges of the screen is different than the older 6. I emailed Cupert and will add to this if I get a reply.
