iPhone 6 Glass Screen Protectors do not work on 6s

Picked up my new iPhone 6s on Friday. Always have used glass screen protectors on all my iPhones. Currently have the Zagg HD Glass on my work phone (iPhone 6 Plus). Anyway, picked up new 6s, grabbed a Zagg Invisible Shield HD Glass protector. Went to apply it, and it will not seat the entire edge of the device. About 1/4" in from the edge towards the center, it leaves about 1/4" gap where you can visibly see the glass protector has not seated the glass all the way.

Long story short, 6 screen protectors later, tried using an off brand at the kiosk at a local mall, (made for iPhone 6), and same deal. Was at the Apple store earlier, and told that the glass in the 6s is the same exact curvature as the 6. Went back to the Apple store later that day, was told the curvature is completely different.

The gentleman who sold me the off brand protector at the mall kiosk said he had the same exact issue with a customer earlier that day, had them return the phone (6s) for a new one and he was able to apply the protector no problem. At this point I walked into the Apple store and was told that the curvature is different and need to wait for new protectors spec'd to fit the 6s.

I know Zagg makes the Glass Luxe for the 6s, but I am not a fan of the colors.

My question is, can anyone confirm the curvature of the glass is in fact different than the 6? I've applied numerous Zagg Glass protectors on my 6 and never has this issue.

I've got the same problem. Payed 10€ for a glass screen protector and now no refund. 😟

Does any one tried "Spigen - iPhone 6 Screen Protector Steinheil Curved Crystal"?

It doesn't matter what the document is describing for design. It notes that the screens on the 6s are different than the 6.

I bought mine from SecondSkin (getSecondSkin.com) and it fits perfectly. The curvature is different because of the 3D Touch (I emailed their support before ordering). I didn't order the full screen version because I don't like the colored edges so I can't vouch for that but there are no bubbles around the side with the regular model.I think most companies just re-labelled their 6 / 6 Plus model's because they presumed the hardware would be the same.

The true problem is concerning the screen protectors application there is a design deficiency - the active surface is wider than the flat one - and a manufacturing deficiency - the real flat surface is smaller than the design one.

The expectative is Apple to change the iPhone design and manufacturing quality control. In this sense, it's too important iPhone owners demand this Apple actuations.

What do you think about it?

I'm upset about this, too. But I think Apple has a right to change their design for whatever reason, in this case probably the 3D touch, or whatever it's called. The real problem lies in the manufacturers who make screen protectors. Most of them simply added an "s" to the description on the box and never fitted the screen protector to the new model, or assumed we would all live with a screen protector that "kinda" fits. And we all know what "assume" means.

I never received an answer from the email I sent to the manufacturer about my screen protector, but as long as it protects the screen I'm okay with the fit being a little off. Doesn't look terrible with a case but could look better. I choose to see the glass as half full, but I reserve the right to complain about it. :-)

Apple sell the same screen protector for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. No differences due to screen flat surface dimensions or 3D functions. But the screen protectors do not fit their screens, mainly in iPhone 6s.

All the iPhone current and future owners aim to be able to protect their devices and Apple have the right not to offer them this possibility.

I’m not going to buy another iPhone until this issue is fully solved but, like me and Apple, people have the right of doing what they want.

The photos and technical information and analysis previously posted have shown what is happening and what is due to whom. There is no place for additional discussions.

Current smartphones should permit their owners to protect them. Manufacturers should have this fact in mind during devices design and production and people should buy what they want.
