iPhone 6 Glass Screen Protectors do not work on 6s

Picked up my new iPhone 6s on Friday. Always have used glass screen protectors on all my iPhones. Currently have the Zagg HD Glass on my work phone (iPhone 6 Plus). Anyway, picked up new 6s, grabbed a Zagg Invisible Shield HD Glass protector. Went to apply it, and it will not seat the entire edge of the device. About 1/4" in from the edge towards the center, it leaves about 1/4" gap where you can visibly see the glass protector has not seated the glass all the way.

Long story short, 6 screen protectors later, tried using an off brand at the kiosk at a local mall, (made for iPhone 6), and same deal. Was at the Apple store earlier, and told that the glass in the 6s is the same exact curvature as the 6. Went back to the Apple store later that day, was told the curvature is completely different.

The gentleman who sold me the off brand protector at the mall kiosk said he had the same exact issue with a customer earlier that day, had them return the phone (6s) for a new one and he was able to apply the protector no problem. At this point I walked into the Apple store and was told that the curvature is different and need to wait for new protectors spec'd to fit the 6s.

I know Zagg makes the Glass Luxe for the 6s, but I am not a fan of the colors.

My question is, can anyone confirm the curvature of the glass is in fact different than the 6? I've applied numerous Zagg Glass protectors on my 6 and never has this issue.

As detailed and deeply demonstrated, due to deficiencies of design - partially - and quality control - mainly - it's not possible tosuitably install screen protectors on iPhone 6 and, mainly, on iPhone 6s and, therefore, to protect their screens against scratches and breaks.

Logically, each one can interpret if there is or not something wrong with a product with these characteristics. As well, each one can decide if want to buy or not or follow fabricating or not a product with these characteristics.

Anyway, it's important to know what is really happening to decide something about.

It's too simple and easy.

Okay. The companies designing the screen protectors don’t know how to design properly. I dont see any quality control issues. The protectors are all built as designed.

Take the issues up with these companies.

If you buy a car seat cover that does not fit properly, it is somehow the car company’s fault and they should redesign the car?

As detailed and deeply demonstrated, with the device there are not only quality control issues but also design issues, due to whom designing and fabricanting screen protectors which fit properly is not possible. There are no protectors which fit - it's not theisolated case of one protector manufacturer - and no one can do something that is not possible.

Everyone know the device owners have the alternative of not protecting their screens against scratches and breaks. The problem is it's too bad for them and their investment and all of them know it, no matter what someone says.

Then contact these screen protector manufacturers that cannot mae them fit the iPhone.

There are no design issues or quality control issues with the iPhone.

They are built as designed and perform as designed.

There are no protectors which fit

and that is Apple’s fault because?

They released a product. It’s up to other to make accessories that fit. It’s not up to Apple to design a phone that fits a certain screen protector.

and no one can do something that is not possible

No company own the world can design a screen protector for the iPhone?

Therefore Apple has to change the design?

The demonstration posted above is there are iPhone 6 and 6s screens design and production deficiencies.

The "demonstration posted above" simply shows that these companies have not made a screen protector that works to your satisfaction. Nothing to do with Apple.

You should contact these companies and tell them you are not happy with their product as it does not fit to your satisfaction

Why do you think it is Apple's responsibility (or an company's responsibility) to build a product that fits some companies accessories?
They are designed and produced exactly as they are planned. Accessories should fit the product, not vice-versa,

I'm guessing English is not your native language?

Okay. Obviously you don't understand.

That's fine.

An unconditional Apple's back guard approach cannot help and is not desirable

I have no idea what any of this means.

Bottom line is complain to the screen protector manufacturers since they have not made one that meets your standards.

If you purchase carpet for your home and it doesn't fit, why would you complain to the home builder?

People should read the title of this Community: it's about the application of screen protectors to iPhone 6s.

As soon as Apple understand curved surfaces edges on the screens of their devices are not suitable to apply the required tempered glass screens protectors and apply this knowledge and this understanding to their iPhone design, this Community will disappear.

Immediatly, Apple should modify their iPhone 6s screens giving them a flat surface bigger enough than the active surface and replace the screens of all the sold devices.

And if iPhone 7 screen is flat I will return to buy iPhone.

Sure, all the iPhone screens protectors manufacturers would apreciate these Apple actuations.

It's simple, no place for complicated ideas.

Actually, the title this community is iPhone Accessories.

The title of this thread is iPhone 6 Glass Screen Protectors do not work on 6s.

And guess what? They are different products.

As soon as Apple understand curved surfaces edges on the screens of their devices are not suitable to apply the required tempered glass screens protectors and apply this knowledge and this understanding to their iPhone design, this Community will disappear.

There is no requirement to apply tempered glass screen protectors. Or any screen protector.

Immediatly, Apple should modify their iPhone 6s screens giving them a flat surface bigger enough than the active surface and replace the screens of all the sold devices

Why? The iPhone works just fine

If you want a screen protector, get one that fits your device. If you cannot find one, oh well.

Nothing to do with Apple.

Sure, all the iPhone screens protectors manufacturers would apreciate these Apple actuations.

Why should Apple change their design (and millions of screens currently being used) because others cannot make accessories that fit your desire?
