iPhone 6 Glass Screen Protectors do not work on 6s

Picked up my new iPhone 6s on Friday. Always have used glass screen protectors on all my iPhones. Currently have the Zagg HD Glass on my work phone (iPhone 6 Plus). Anyway, picked up new 6s, grabbed a Zagg Invisible Shield HD Glass protector. Went to apply it, and it will not seat the entire edge of the device. About 1/4" in from the edge towards the center, it leaves about 1/4" gap where you can visibly see the glass protector has not seated the glass all the way.

Long story short, 6 screen protectors later, tried using an off brand at the kiosk at a local mall, (made for iPhone 6), and same deal. Was at the Apple store earlier, and told that the glass in the 6s is the same exact curvature as the 6. Went back to the Apple store later that day, was told the curvature is completely different.

The gentleman who sold me the off brand protector at the mall kiosk said he had the same exact issue with a customer earlier that day, had them return the phone (6s) for a new one and he was able to apply the protector no problem. At this point I walked into the Apple store and was told that the curvature is different and need to wait for new protectors spec'd to fit the 6s.

I know Zagg makes the Glass Luxe for the 6s, but I am not a fan of the colors.

My question is, can anyone confirm the curvature of the glass is in fact different than the 6? I've applied numerous Zagg Glass protectors on my 6 and never has this issue.

Well in here is explicitly. For example the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s there is mesurment that is called "Active Area", in the first one is 58.50 x 104.05 and in the second one is 58.49 x 104.05. And here is the issue. On my experience with screen protectors the problem was all around the screen protector not on the lateral edges but here in this document is missing part of the information that screen protectors producers coils use to create the correct screen protectors. So if you ask me i think that in this case Apple didnt do a good job passing to third parties technical specs of the new iPhone.

iPhone 6s have design and production deficiencies unity, except you

The iPhone works fine as designed. No deficiencies.

You want phone? Get the phone you want and get accessories that work with that phone.

You want a screen protector? Get the one you want and get a phone that works with that screen protector.

due to which it is impossible to design and produce iPhone 6s screen protectors.

Impossible? Really?

So if something does not exist, it can never be made?

Seems iPhones weren't around 10 years ago.

Then don't get a screen protector if you require one.

Or get a different device that fits your needs.

I think it's been proven by members of this community and others (specifically Mac Rumors) that not all the screens on the 6s are identical.

Many members with multiple iPhone 6s (i.e. family members and people that just like having more than one iPhone) have commented that they installed the same brand and model screen protector on 2 or more of their iPhone 6s and had completely different results. Many have exclaimed "I found one that works!" only to have another member say "it doesn't work on mine, halos...".

I have read rumors that Apple used 2 different suppliers for the screens which could explain this. However, I doubt that any one manufacturer will produce 2 different size screen protectors for the iPhone 6s.

At this point I don't really care. There are solutions but I am not a fan of them. That's my choice though. This thread has been active for months now and no one has found a solution that works for everyone.

In about 10 months +/- the new iPhone will hit the market and I will get it and hopefully be able to use a tempered glass screen protector that completely adheres to the screen. I am finished trying to find one. GOIN' COMMANDO!!! LOL 😁
