Photos performance comparable to Iphoto

Hi, I had recently updated my late 2011 MB pro 17" to Yosemite OS hoping to get benefit of the new Photo app.

I'm experiencing the same behaviour i had with iPhoto that causes the rainbow wheel spinning after scrolling the photos inside an album or an event.

Editing in full screen mode is also difficult for the same matter..

Is it this issue related to huge library size (over 200GB)?

The library is stored on secondary SSD of 0.5TB that don't seem to be defective.

Can someone help me with this issue or there's a better app to handle huge photos libraries?

And also the performance on one of the computer accounts.

i had experienced an application crash on one of two accounts when working on recovered photos..

I'm going to test the app on both account during the next days to come back with a complete scenario.
