Airplay issue with El Capitan

Having a reliability issue while using airplay with el capitan to apple tv 3! it will either work after a long delay (and not turn off) or won't work at all. My iPhone 6S iOS 9.0.2 works fine with airplay and my home network is not an issue. Anyone else have this issue?

I have a similar issue with my MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013) on El Capitan. I can connect to my Apple TV 3 (I copy the screen) but it's still not usable: slow framerate and the sound is "cut". I tried the old tips (disconnect the bluetooth for example) but nothing fix the problem.

Does Apple try their features?

PS: The AirPlay works fine with my iPhone 5s and my iPad Mini 2 Retina (both on iOS 9.0.2).

I wouldn't trust AirPlay at the moment. Stick the wired solution...

Nothing but problems on my end with iOS 9.x and OS X 10.11.1

Maybe there will be something resolved with OS X 10.11.2? and iOS 9.2

Any of the older devices running iOS 8.4.1 and OS X 10.10 and older are great with AirPlay!

@vcromao same issues here. I've put this forward with Apple engineers and my school district reps, don't know where it's at right now....hopefully it's fixed soon.

Many thanks TuskerBC! Did the trick for me. It was the VPN client in my case.

Open "System preferences>Users and Groups" It will have your user account highlighted. Beside "password" in the top menu, click "Login Items". Click all the boxes available, then click the "-" minus at the bottom of the list. Restart. Airplay should be working again for mirroring and iTunes.

Another problem I encountered using "El Capitan" was slow browsing in Safari.

This solved it for me:

Hello, I am writing from Argentina .

I commented that the problem is solved .

I tell them I have a pro Mb of this year , and an Apple TV3, my problem was that I stop airplay icon appear on the top bar , and only reproduced video from iTunes. .
Now the solution .
apple tv plug it into my computer , and I program in DFU mode or restoration ,

SITE EN ESPAÑOL

start it in this way because in normal mode iTunes told me I was already updated to the latest version .

after downloading the new firmware ( 870 megabytes ), must be connected back to the TV, and configured with the installation wizard

that once completed , restart my macbook
macbook restart . and....
bingo!!

the mirror functions as before.

Apologize for my english , but as is evident I translated with google translate .
I hope this helps someone.
a greeting.-
