PDF's Printing in Landscape

Hi,

Problem I've encountered since updating to El Capitan, not sure if it's an El Capitan issue or a general OS X issue. I regularly print off address labels, 4 labels per sheet of A4 using Avery labels. In the Print Preview they show in portrait as they always have done but when I print it attempts to print in landscape across the middle of the label sheet. No matter what changes I make before printing to the orientation, etc. it always seems to try and print off in landscape instead of portrait.

The labels I use are generated as a PDF and normally I print direct from Safari as that's where they're generated. Also tried saving them and opening them in Preview, but still they print off landscape across the middle of a portrait sheet of A4 or labels. Tried printing a couple of other things and they print portrait fine, just seems to be PDF's for some reason.

Any idea what may be causing it or how to fix it?

yeah. Ive had this problem since upgrading to El Capitan as well. At first I thought that the problem was with the file as the sender saved it. I took a screen shot of the file and that printed normally, but when I have multiple pages that is tedious. I've tried rotating the pages that I want to print; for example one might have a 10 page document but only need to print pages 3 - 5. Just open up thumbnails and rotate the pages that you want to print and then select print range in print box. You can also select "Open PDF Preview" at bottom left of the print box, after rotating pages to verify that the print orientation will be correct. Doesn't matter if the pages are upside down or not, what does matter is that they are not oriented 90 degrees to the page. This is clearly a problem with the Preview -El Capitan code interaction. At least now I know I'm not imagining things.

I have the same problem. I am changing a lot between a DIN A 5 and DIN A 4 setup and the first print out is always in the wrong orientation. The second is fine and everything afterwards too.

The thing is I have always have to print out one DIN A 5 and then a 4, so I always have one page and one label for the trash which is a waste of everything.

I am running on 10.11.1 and it doesn't matter if I use Preview or Acrobat or whatever. The problem stays.

Any solutions by now?

Thanks
