Calendar issues since upgrading to iOS 9.0.2 on 5S

I am unable to update the Alerts I set up for an event in the Calendar since upgrading to iOS 9 on my 5S. For example, I set up two alerts when I create an event; 1 week and 2 hours before the event. When I am alerted one week out, I want to change that to 2 days. When I do that, the 2 hr alert that I originally set changes to 2 days. Both alerts are the same no matter what I do.

Also, I am unable to open a specific day when in the Month view of the calendar. I have to tap on "Today" and scroll to the date I need.

HELP!!!

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.0.2, null

Does it happen on your phone?

Actually, there has never been and will never be a situation in my life where I would want or need multiple alerts for an event. One alert is more than enough for me!

I can understand the difficulty in discovering a double tap to open a date's calendar from the month view, given the change in how that worked from previous iOS versions. But frankly I would never understand a need for multiple alerts for the same event. That's just me, I suppose.

UPDATE - One further thought: I know Macs do have this ability to create multiple alerts on a calendar. So if ever I needed multiple alerts, I would create them on the Mac and use that (iCloud) calendar on my iOS device. I'm convinced that would work.

Similarly, in the past, iOS devices could not create events that repeated, for example, on the second Thursday of every month. But such a repetition could be created using the Mac and indeed would be followed in the iOS version of the same calendar.

I read this post a week ago, as I was having the same issue and have a wonderfully busy and exciting life where sometimes the extra reminder is helpful.

For example, an alert for a meeting a couple hours ahead of time and the second one about 15 minutes beforehand.

Keeps me neat and time-efficient by always knowing what to work on that fits into the time frame.

(No smarmy comments from sberman needed. Thanks.)

So, one click or double-tap was not working either. It was scary.

Could create a new event on a day by tapping the + and save it, but not set alerts.

Then I could set one alert, but second would change first.

After a few hard-restarts, it now works great.

Not needing alerts is great, if you have a good memory, or not many appointments. However, neither is the case with me, or for a lot of other people. For me, I have Multiple Sclerosis, with memory issues, and if I didn't use my calendar WITH the alerts, I would miss the majority of my appointments. So, FOR YOU, not needing alerts is FANTASTIC, but it is unfair to compare your abilities to someone else's inabilities, without knowing the whole story. However, not everyone is in my situation either, and may have a very busy life (e.g., a single mom with three kids) and having the alerts keeps them where they need to be, and when.

Also, I always have my phone with me, so I use it to set up my events, or appointments, not my computer. Also, some of my appointments are 1 to 6 months out so I need the alerts to work for me.

On a personal note: I was looking for help, not ridicule.
