Mail "Organize by Conversation", grouping rule is changed?

Turned on Mail "Organize by Conversation" option.

OSX used to group any mail with the same subject as a "conversation", but in El Capitan, it seems no longer group conversation by email subject alone?

This is still a problem for me, and now I'm in a new role where I look at a lot of ZenDesk ticket update emails. Messages from the same sender about the same ticket number are grouped together, but there is a separate conversation for each ticket number / sender combination. This means I have to end up jumping between the two conversations to read the back and forth.

I can imagine there are use cases for the new mode of grouping, but it breaks a lot of current use cases. The conversation grouping algorithm should be configurable so that users can do what works for them.

Has anyone noticed this issue in Sierra Mail app?

For me it seems to be stuck in showing conversations that include only incoming messages but not what I have replied.

Can show my own via relates messages but that is rather annoying indeed, especially if you wish to confirm you've sent a reply and want to also see it .
