Blue Yeti is not working in either garage band or logic pro since el capitan update

I am using Logic pro and latest garage band but whenever I select my blue yeti mic as the input device it disconnects it after a second or two with a message saying the device has been removed and the computer input will be used. It worked great before the update. Anyone else having the same issue?

OK I've spoken to Blue Microphones support and they tell me our microphones might be too old for El Capitan he said on the bottom of the mic if you have the USB symbol thats too old it has to have the letters USB

this is is what they said in the email

Thanks for the information. You might have an older version Yeti Pro that has an older chip that might not be compatible with the new El Capitan. Older version Yeti Pros do not have the letters U S B near the connector of the mic – only the USB symbol. If so, we could only offer notifications about any updates seeing that you are out of warranty. Otherwise we can offer you some out of warranty options.

Thank you for your answer. I checked under my Yeti and I connot see any USB mention, only the USB logo... So frustrated to see that a microphone I bought 5 years ago is already obsolete... Again, loving this age of planned obsolescence... :-(((((( A real pain that makes me think I should never buy any Yeti again... and let it know around me!
