Window Size Problem with El Capitan

Since upgrading to El Capitan, Microsoft Outlook will not remember it's window size after I close and reopen, or quit and restart the program.

This problem did not occur with any previous operating systems.

Please help....

Well, I'm sorry to say...I upgraded to OS Sierra today with high hopes, but the window size problem with Outlook for Mac 2011 persists.

The first time I closed the Outlook window and re-opened it, it opened like a little box, as it has since I upgraded to El Capitan.

I'm so used to minimizing instead of closing the Outlook window that it doesn't matter anymore to me.

I don't care anymore.

😠

As stated earlier in this thread, the "work-around" is to "minimize" the Outlook window instead of "closing" it.

You can also quit Outlook while it's window is as large as you like. It will re-open to the same size.

Either way works every time.

Who's bug is it?

At this point, I don't think it matters anymore.

In my opinion, neither Apple nor Microsoft are interested in fixing a problem with an email application that came out in 2010.

Evidently Apple just doesn't care. People are going to buy Apple products regardless so what concern is it of theirs. They are not going to re-design an O/S just for us. Live with it! That's what we get. You can see that it is quite evident with the fact that the problem occurred quite some time ago with the release of El Capitan and it has continued to the new O/S with no correction or interaction from Apple ON THEIR OWN FORUM. If Apple were concerned about your needs they would have at least tried to address it and posted some type of fix and/or work around. They have not. So, just live with it. Apple could care less about our needs. It's all $$$ in their pockets. Not saying to move to Microsoft O/S. They are just as bad or worse. But, it would be nice if they cared enough to try....

This is a most annoying issue , however I'm not convinced its solely Apple to blame ( with Outlook anyway) I recently had the same issue with another piece of software I use and contacted the developer to see if he could shed some light on what was causing it, I didn't get an explanation but the issue was fixed between a Friday night and the following morning so I'm guessing it wasn't too much of a problem to resolve. I have done some MacOS updates since then and the software is still flawless
