Since upgrading to El Capitan, Microsoft Outlook will not remember it's window size after I close and reopen, or quit and restart the program.
This problem did not occur with any previous operating systems.
Please help....

I also have had this intermittent problem on Outlook 2011 for Mac since upgrading to El Capitan.
This works:
In the Mail window, after resizing, go to View, Arrange By, "Make this the Default View".
You only get this option in the "Mail" View menu - it's not an option in Calendar or Contacts.
I just updated Outlook 2011 to 14.7.1 and macOS Sierra to 10.12.2 to no avail.
Bird6645... I tried your solution a few months ago with no improvement, and I just tried it again to be sure.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me.
The problem still persists on both of my computers.
I resisted the great leap forward to Sierra and remain on El Capitan 10.11.6, with Outlook still on 14.6.7.
Sorry to see that you're still having problems, but interestingly the Finder window on my late 2009 iMac kept resizing for a couple of days after I had set the default window size in Outlook......had similar problems (including Finder window) on my mid 2010 Macbook, but Outlook behaving itself on both machines now, even after restarts.
I have also updated Outlook 2011 to 14.7.1 and macOS Sierra to 10.12.2 but still NFG
Anyone have any ideas????

No new ideas here.
Just continuing to use the easy work-around of minimizing the Outlook window instead of closing it.
Window size is maintained every time.
I decided to give up on this, give some more money to Microsoft and upgrade to to Office 365, which includes Outlook 2016 for Mac. Sorry that's not much help, but the problem has gone away.....
I think about doing the same thing from time to time Bird6645.
Just don't want to spend the money at the moment.
How happy are you with Office 365?
Hold CONTROL and hit the Red "X" button to close the window, then you can quit the application and it should save the location/layout of the previous window configuration.
