Window Size Problem with El Capitan

Since upgrading to El Capitan, Microsoft Outlook will not remember it's window size after I close and reopen, or quit and restart the program.

This problem did not occur with any previous operating systems.

Please help....

Yes, I raised this problem within hours of moving to El Capitan and still use the minimise/hide function for Outlook rather than closing the window. It *is* a pain because it isn't just the window that loses its size settings, the column/view spacings that you have chosen are also lost.

On start-up, however, Outlook opens to my preset window/column settings, but if I close the window and then re-open it, generally speaking the window opens at a smaller (much smaller!) incorrect size. Always use minimise to prevent this -- until (please!) there is a fix.

Well, another fly in the ointment for solving this. I only have this problem since doing the latest update, Word 15.27. My Outlook window opens up with the "who it's from" window being massively wide and the actual message pane to the right being extremely narrow. I resize it and next time in, it does it again. Here is the kicker, I am still on Yosemite. So, getting a similar problem with a previous version of OS and a current, updated version of Outlook.

Yes, I couldn't remember the number. I did the MS update just a couple of days ago and the Updater is now saying no new updates, so the same one. I mainly just have problems with Outlook (can't check on my laptop as I don't run Outlook on there) on my iMac since the update. I have had tons of problems with PowerPoint 2016 (before and after this latest update) and an annoying tablet/PowerPoint problem that has been there a lot longer.

Good news, guys. Lastest Outlook update 15.17.1 (151217) seems to fix it for me (partially). Have closed the window at least twenty times and reopened it in the correct size.

However, 20-30% of the re-openings the window was small again. But it could be fixed by CMD-W (close window) and reopen it through the dock icon and the size was restored. Strange, far from perfect (but that is Outlook for Mac anyway) but at least I can leave with it now...
