Green screen while opening high-res photo

I contacted support and this is what they had me do. In the preview (with the green screen), click on Preview and then preferences. Then click on the images tab. Change the option to Size on screen equals size on printout. Then restart your computer. It worked for me.

I have the same problem since I have updated to El Capitan.

I am also facing a similar issue. I have logged a case with Apple and they have confirmed that many users are facing this kinda issue. It could be related to some third party drivers as the high resolution pics are opening in safe mode. No solution as of now.

Can you list any attributes about these images, such as their resolutions, sizes (MB), formats, color profiles used, and other details? Do these problems happen if you create a new test user account in the Users & Groups system preferences and then open the images when logged into that account (transfer them between accounts using the Macintosh HD > Users > Shared folder)?

Yes I rebooted my MacBook. Preview opens the photo but not zoom
