I just installed OS X El Capitan on my iMac and my iTunes (12.3) has not been working since. When iTunes is open, I can't click on anything. I know it's not a mouse problem, because the mouse works with any other application or program.

I just installed EC and I have the exact same problem! I can't click on anything 😟 Any progress on this?
This seemed to have worked. After getting a prompt from iTunes that my iCloud session has expired, I just cancelled the login and voila, I can now navigate again to iTunes.
Well I am now up to 199 applications that need to be updated.. and no followup call since Tuesday..
I had a similar problem (iTunes videos would not load). Here's how I solved it.
1) Download the iTunes installer package from the iTunes download webpage
2) Deauthorize my computer in iTunes
3) Sign out of my account in iTunes
4) Exit iTunes
5) Double click on the iTunes installer package and let it install
6) Open iTunes and sign back in to my account
7) Authorize my computer
I just got off the phone with the Apple tech.. The engineers sent some directions and said " this will fix it" LOL Nope.
He sent them another note that the issue is still unsolved...
Will update as I have news
Not to pile on but I have the same issue - it's completely unusable *sigh*

I just started having problems with my iTunes not opening, I’ll click on the icon on my dock, and It will just bounce up and down, but not open. Ram Is not the problem I have 16gb. So I closed all apps, force quit iTunes, then opened up Disk Utility and performed a First Aid Run, then restarted my Mac, now It’s fine, well for now It Is ✅
was having this issue where everything was unresponsive. followed cagripa's advice and hit cancel when it asked me to enter in my iCloud password...now everything works normally. weird :/

OS X 10.11.1 and iTunes 12.3.1 both released today. Latest iTunes update is supposed to solve this. Frankly, I've never had it, but you might want to take note of the updates if you have it.
