"unable to download purchase. Try again on Purchased page" Help please?????

Okay guys, bought 2 apps and whoever I try to install them on the purchases page, it says "app failed to download. Please use the purchases page to try again."
I read other threads and tried a lot of things already. Tried deleting them from the applications folder, restarted, hit the reset all warnings for purchases button, under account settings, etc.

I really don't know what to do. I paid money for these apps, and it won't let me download. I have a 2013 mbp with El Capitan running. Can't figure it out.

Any help at all would be very much appreciated.

I wonder you Apple moderators, rather than deleting xhruso00 solution which worked, you should look into it and thank him for solving such a bug! this blog is for sharing information and solving the issue , deleting the post is admitting that you are wrong and not willing to solve the issue for us as an end user. If you see any improper steps in the solution you can highlight it and come up with the updated one, but at least let us see the solution.!

i don´t know why they deleted over and over again the xhruso00terminal solution, maybe because it imply the host file...

i tried it but didn´t work on my MBA Yosemite and Mavericks partitions, also i tried changing dns with google and open dns but nothing happens.

i can´t download:

- iwork (pages, keynote, numbers)

- imovie

- iphoto

- caffeine

- mplayerx

- call of duty

I had the same problem and searched everywhere online for an answer. In the end, the only thing that worked was to install CLOAK. This was a suggestion from another thread in Apple support community, but I can no longer locate it to share the link. You go to www.getcloak.com and download the software -- it's a free 30-day trial so you can cancel before being charged.

Once it was downloaded and I'd signed into my trial account, I was finally able to download all of my applications while the computer was "cloaked" -- I had 10 apps needing to be either installed or updated and none of them would work until I did this.
