Turn on Verbose Mode. Then it will scroll messages up the screen as it boots up. When the messages stop moving, write down the last three lines or so and post them here.

The reason i said it the way I did is that your drive has to be at least partially working to boot to [regular] Recovery.
The late 2013 dark cylinder model can fall back to Internet Recovery, and download the Utilities from the Internet even if it does not have a Drive installed.
it will not boot into recovery. Do you think there is something wrong with the drive?
.Yes, very likely problem with HD
I expect so.
The problem with drives that cost under US$100 today is that debugging whether the drive is still good when the software is as badly messed as this one up takes longer than is reasonable. If you had to pay a technician by the hour, it could take all afternoon to decide, "yup, the drive is Bad".
Your best bet is to get a different drive, install Mac OS X on it, and get on with your work. In your spare time, you can first try to salvage some files, if needed, then run the (all night) Zero all data pass that is needed to re-qualify (or dis-qualify) the drive.
which model Mac Pro? if running 10.11, probably 4,1 2009, 5,1 2010 or 2012 model.
Do you have another drive with Mac OS X on it or a saved USB-stick installer?
it is actually a mac pro 1,1 2006 model. I had to replace the Boot.efis to get it to run but it has been working perfectly since i got it (about a year). And my operating system is on a crucial 2.5 ssd. I do not have another copy of the OS
Did you reinstall the Boot.efis?
I suspect that got messed up. You have redo it when updatings OSX.
The advantage of using the 2006 model start is will boot from the 10.6.3 "official" Utilities/Installer DVD.
You were using a Third-party DVD? Were you using TRIM? If not, it probably filled up with deleted data and died.
There is sometimes a "trick" that can revive its basic functioning again. Boot with the Option key held down and ... go have lunch. Come back in half an hour and it may have been able to do a garbage collect and revive itself.
yes I did reinstall the boot.efis. Okay I will try that hopefully it will work. Thanks Guys
it did not help. do I try to repair the ssd on my friends mac. or get a new ssd
You need an alternate source of software to boot up something so that you can try a repair. The 10.6 DVD is a an incorruptible source, and it contains Utilities as well if you just answer the "what language" question and wait for the MenuBar to be drawn.
Thankyou guys so much for helping me. I solved the problem by simply using my friends computer and reinstalling my boot.efis ( I guess last time I replaced them something went wrong) Anyways My computer is back up and running thanks again!
That is what I thought (boot.efis problem)
