itunes 12.3 keeps crashing with windows 10

Okay I don't exactly know what happened... But HELP please!!!!!!

iTunes was working just fine Tuesday morning but after updating my phone to ios9 and allowing for a WiFi sync iTunes will not function right. iTunes opens but then almost immediately it will lock up. If anything else is open on the computer it will also freeze. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times with no luck. I've run system scans and removed anything that shouldn't be. I've restarted my computer after every change, and still no luck. Anyone else had this happen to them? Or something similar with windows 10?

Before I upgraded to 12.3.1 from 12.3.0, I did follow the procedure I indicated above (uninstalling ALL Apple software, deleting all the directories I listed above, etc). Don't know if that helped or whether my problems would have been solved by a normal upgrade to 12.3.

If you just did a simple upgrade to 12.3.1 and that did not stop they crashing, I suggest the uninstall etc first.

Try Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows first.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try theiTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Hello,

I have another kind of crashes with iTunes. In eventlog i can see this message after each crash.

While trying to rapair my Installation I got massive issues. Therefore the ssd was deleted and the computer got a new Windows 10 Installation. After Installing iTunes on this "new" Computer I still have crashes after 0 to 10 minutes running iTunes.

The eventlog entry is in German language, mut the most important Messages are translated:

Can anybody help?

Errors with JavaScriptCore.ddl and iTunes 12.3.3.17 seem to be associated with proxy connection scripts. If you can set the proxy manually or avoid using a proxy then that might resolve the issue. Otherwise you might be best to try rolling back to the last build of iTunes that worked for you. See iTunes installers for download links. If you're rolling back from 12.3.3.17 to 12.3.2.35, for example, then you'll also need to roll back the database in the way described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash. The tip includes suggestions for reintroducing any recent purchases so at worst you lose a few playcounts and/or a recently created playlist.

iTunes 12.4 DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE!!

I'm so frustrated with this god awful experience with Apple software. First sync problems lasting years, now this: CONSTANT ITUNES CRASHES. The program is now unusable. I literally can't use iTunes.

Apple: THIS SHOULD BE A HIGHEST PRIORITY BUG FIX. PLEASE FIX BEFORE I DITCH APPLE PRODUCTS FOR GOOD.

Have you solved the issue? I've been living with this problem for weeks!

It crashes on startup. Disabling internet or blocking itunes by firewall may help but that's not elegant...

Windows 8 compatibility mode helps, I can listen to 1 or 2 songs and then it crashes again.

Someone says providing path to quicktime or reinstalling it helps but there is no quicktime in windows 10 itunes version...

And yes, i've reinstalled itunes with folders deleting twice already. I don't want to reinstall windows because Windows is good and this awful apple software is bad.

What exactly are your symptoms? A recent update to iTunes has fixed an issue affecting iTunes Match/Apple Music users that might also help you. The current build is 12.5.3.17. Apple Software Update may not detect it as a new version as yet so a manual download from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download or the Further information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates may be the way to go.

The 'itunes has stopped working' message when I start it. If I run it in windows 8 compatibility mode it works very slowly and crushes in 10-20 minutes. If I try to sign in to itunes store in this mode it says "There was an error conecting to Apple ID server", maybe the point is somewhere here.

I've downloaded the latest version, nothing changed. Will try to reinstall again.
