Itunes Store not displaying correctly

Hey,

Just noticed today that the iTunes Store is not displaying correctly.

This is the first time this has happened and cannot figure out why, is this an Apple side issue?

No, it is on Apple's end. I phoned support and the lad was shocked because even his iTunes store was doing the same thing. So at least he was able to replicate the issue even on his own computer. Then he told me everyone at apple support had just checked on their computers. All had the same issue. They quickly put me on with their senior support tech. He confirmed it's on their end and they are now aware of it. It always surprises me how professional apples support staff are. The said it was an emerging issue and they are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. He said it should be soon. I am running Yosemite 10.10.5. and the latest version of iTunes 12.3.0.44

I've spent the whole day on this so far with Apple support and have got "no where" fast.

3.5hrs on chart and no less than 5 different Apple agents!!!!

The last agent send it was an issue with a java script error meaning the code for the page layout added with the css is out of place.

Clay (the agent) recommend that I did another re-install of OS El Captain and was confident this would resolve my issue - but it hasn't.
Like I said before, my wife has her own login for this same apple Mac and her iTunes Store artwork / albums etc all display correctly.

This is driving me sooooo mad right now!!!!

Quite honestly, I have no confidence at all that any of the Apple agents know what to do.
They follow a basic script and if it doesn't remedy the issue they move onto the next script.
It's not proper troubleshooting as a tech savvy person would look into your system / program and look for specific parts of code that would stop the Store in iTunes from displaying correctly.
So when Clay said it was Java Script I was confident he knew what the issue was, but an install of OS again has left me with the same issue.

BTW - App store displays correctly as I was asked by an agent to try the App store to see if the issue was there. The App store display fine, no issues, just stupid iTunes Store......

Ok, here's the rub.

I've spent all day on this issue and I now have mine resolved.

I don't want anyone else to suffer the pain I have had today as I had worked through no less than x9 Apple Agents on Chat - BUT Apple resolved the issue for me just now.

I had last chatted with Ronnie who is a senior Agent at Apple Tech and he walked me through deleting cache that was related to the itunes program.

It was quite involved and a lot of files ended up in the trash so I won't misguide you and tell you how to do the resolve.

However, my point is this.
The issue is with YOUR iTunes program affecting how the store looks.
How it got into this issue in the first place (Store in iTunes not displaying correctly) I'll never know, but the resolve is in your iTunes cache and I suggest you lead an Apple agent that knows their stuff like Ronnie to take care of this issue for you.

What had taken x8 previous agents and 1/3 of a day had taken Ronnie around 10 mins and the problem was resolved.

I'm now resolved and very relieved.

Yes, a reinstall will not resolve, I can confirm that.
I had reinstalled iTunes and also the El Capitan OS, neither fixed the issue.
Something was bring back my history in the files so a re-install just wasted time.

However, the issue is "not" at Apple's end like some have posted here, so don't wait for some update as you'll wait for a long time....!

You need to get hold of an Apple Agent and explain to them where the issue lies and anyone technically minded would know where to look as described as I've had the same issue as everyone here but got resolved.

Hope you get sorted soon.

Hey All,

Just to let you know mine seems to have been fixed, this is what i recall doing yesterday

1. Deleted the iTunes App and Reinstalled, rebooted - Did not fix ( you need to set the permissions to remove it)

2. Deleted Avast Anti Virus, rebooted - did not fix (a lot of comments out there where Avast isn't the best, I've also had issues with other programmes not running due to avast)

3. Installed Avira Anti Virus after doing a bit of research (not really confident with it yet until something happens) - rebooted

4. Downloaded El Captain from App store and installed while i went to bed - Woke up this morning and its working.

Its worth mentioning I was using the Public Beta, so I'm now on the official public release not any beta.

Im not sure if you guys use Avast but if so its worth trying to remove this and reinstall El Captain, if it doesn't work put avast back on if you want to keep it.

The thing is, I didn't do this. Something happened with the iTunes store or the iTunes app that delivered this mess to me.

Maybe the key lies somewhere scattered around my hard drive but I have deleted all directories related to iTunes and not seen it recover so really, why put responsibility on me to fix this? I've been moving further and further away from iTunes as it gets slower and fatter and more and more unresponsive anyway. Stuff like this is yet another invite to go get my music elsewhere
