Hue Bridge 2.0 HomeKit Problem

I got the bridge 2.0 and set it up and all worked ok.

Now siri does not work any more. When I try to set up again, i get the message:

"Another user already paired the HomeKit enabled bridge. Please ask the user to share his / her home kit settings in order for you to start using Siri voice control"

I checked online and philips page said to log out of iCloud and try again. But when I do that, it says to log into keychain. So I log back into iCloud and enable keychain but then I get the same original message as above.

Anyone know what's going on?

I've just bought into Hue and ran straight into this problem. I have Siri working on my iPad, but it's stuck on icloud syncing no matter what I do, so I can't use Siri on my iphone, or share the settings with other users. Hue is great when it work but the hue stock app is utter garbage, it's buggy to an absurd degree and the convoluted workarounds described here just to get basic functionality working are insane. I couldn't get the Eve app to work either, it found my lights but I couldn't create any rooms, no matter how many times I tried it would never let me add anything. It also keeps forgetring the bridge, which is just fantastically entertaining.

I don't know if this mess is down to Philips or Apple, but they seriously need to grow up and sort it out now. Enough releasing buggy junk which doesn't work. Utter muppets.

I had the exact same problem and this fixed it perfectly! I found this on the developers website. It will reset the pairing so you can successfully re-pair your bridge.

First, go here: http://www.developers.meethue.com/documentation/getting-started

Follow the instructions and make sure that you can turn a light off, exactly as they tell you to. This will ensure that you are communicating with the bridge from your computer and have permission to send commands.

Then, in the debugger under URL type:

http://<ip-address.of.the.bridge>/api/<username>/config

You should have the IP address and Username set up from the "Getting Started" that you just completed.

In the "Body," copy and paste the following:

{

"homekit": {

"factoryreset": true

}

}

Click PUT.

It should return a "success" message.

Lastly, go into the Hue app, click on Settings > Siri Voice Control > Pair Bridge. It will instruct you to enter the code as if you've never done it before. You should then be able to see / select your scenes and lights for voice control.

Hope this helps!

"4. To share your HomeKit settings you will need to enter in your roommate or family member's icloud account. NOTE: I tried to add my girlfriend's account using her gmail account associated with her apple ID. That didn't work. I had to use her @icloud.com email."

This is beyond frustrating. I can control our Hue lights just fine on my iPhone 6. BUT, when I invite my wife to share settings on her iPhone 6s using her iCloud email she never does receive the banner note with the invite. This is not the Apple I've known since 1979. Please fix this, Apple or Hue, or whoever is responsible!
