since yesterday, I've been getting errors on App Store on my MacAir.. and now it's persistent: plist parsing error when trying to download apps or even log into my account
Any ideas or solutions, folks?

Had same problem yesterday Monday Oct 12 between 8 am and 9 am EDT and resolved itself and there after until now.
Same problem here. Can't download iMovie 10.1 or access iTunes account.
Having this issue as well, but not for all downloads.
Forgive me if I missed this, but has Apple acknowledged that they are aware of the problem?
I Spent time with Apple Remote Chat support yesterday.
the basic steps we took were to remove the App Store plist file from the hidden menu, then create a test admin account, and log into App Store from there. Switching back to main admin user, App Store worked fine... So it looks like a bug in the plist file
all fine since.... So far!

Similar issue. After download and install of El Capitan, I tried to update iMovie and keep getting a plist parking error. Additionally I was getting a 503 error when trying to manage some of my account settings.
I am having this same issue on a macbook pro from late 2011. Is there a consistency in who is getting this error?
I'm getting the same two error messages. This is kind of a big deal.
Would you explain the 'create test admin' account you set up?
How exactly do you do all that, I was able to locate the files but don't know where to go from here.
