I restored from an iTunes backup to a new iPhone 6s, however every day am unable to download apps and updates without a reset (home and lock button). When I click get or update the circle starts spinning but never gets to the stop button and instead goes back to the get it update button. Is this a full restore job or is there another solution (I don't really want to have to reset my phone every day!)

Click on the App Icon, takes you to std description of app, and then
Click on that page's Update button.
Sometimes works first click, sometimes takes 3-9, sometimes I gave up (n=6).
Does appear to be overloaded Apple app servers.

Now, when I try to Download a free app, it Sais that I have to pay that app, and then it Take me back to "get" if I don't do this

Are you still having this problem? If so, try shutting down the App Store app by double clicking the Home button and sliding the App Store app up. Then open it up again and try again.
Did this and it worked, to make it clear I have been doing this anyway and it just so happened that it worked this time. Apple must have fixed it at their end
i did this already, even logged out of both itunes and icloud, restarted device and it still doesnt move. i even tried updating the billing info just for the heck of doing something at least. you know that circle icon right beside the wifi icon when its trying to connect online to something? it doesnt show when im trying to update the app. but on other stuff, like browsing and social media apps, its fine.

Try reset network settings. Settings > General > Reset > reset network settings. NOTE: You must know your wifi network ID and password first!!
Also to the person who assumed that a simple network outage was "300,000,000 Apple ID's being compromised".....

Having this exact problem. Already restarted and logged out and back into the Apple Store. Any help here please?
This is frustrating. I couldn't update an app so I logged out of app and Itunes store and back in, but it says "Could Not Sign In - Your Apple ID or password is incorrect". I am 100% sure the username and password are correct. I used them to log in here. I read that people were getting this error if their credit card or payment information was not correct. I updated that, still with no help. If I do a full restore (that takes about 30 minutes), I can log back in and it works for about 24 hours... then... locked out again. UGGHHHH!!!!
Is this problem solved now? I am still facing this issue since Oct 16 when Iphone6s was launched in India. I can download some apps and it worked ok in first 24 hrs, there after I was not able to download any app. Especially Facebook. I have tried almost everything suggested here, nothing worked. I was even thinking of buying new router as existing one is 11n. Today I updated to the ios ot 9.1 from 9.02 preinstalled. The release notes showed that App donload issues have been resolved. But even after that not able to download the facebook app. The App store shows that it has downloaded it completely and icon shows on home screen ("loading") then it gives up and does not do anything.
Can anyone help please?
I recently purchased an iPhone 6S Plus, restored from a previous back up and have updated to ios 9.1. I also am experiencing difficulty with apps either not downloading or updating. Would appreciate some assistance with this issue
Try updating or downloading from your authorized computer till apple fixes this issue 🙂
I had the same issue. I needed an update for fitbit, snapchat, and youtube, but the wheel would stay at a certain point and wouldn't complete the update. This happened for a few days. Today, I just restarted my IPhone 6, stopped the applications, then updated them all manually again. This worked! Maybe there was an issue with the app store?

Same problem here. iPhone 6s and iPad Air, can't update apps. In app store I only get "Open" option but there is badge that notify there are updates. I did find "solution" by doing next steps:
Close app store > Enable airplane mode > Open app store > Updates > You will see "Update" option > turn off airplane mode > When it gets connected to wifi update app, one by one doing the same steps. It is annoying and it got to be fixed by Apple...
