Apple TV does not accept Apple ID and password
I have read many answers on this community so far however none fix the problem.
We came home from a holiday, Apple TV had been disconnected for 3 weeks. Plugged it back in and this resulted in persistent blinking white light which we fixed by connecting the Apple TV directly to our iMac and resetting it.
Of course we then plugged it bak into our TV and in the setup we set our network information which was accepted no problems.
Then of course to use Home Sharing we had to enter Apple ID and password into Apple TV.
Unfortunately Apple TV continues to advise we have either the ID or password wrong.
Of course this is BS because we checked on the iMac and confirmed it was the same information we were entering.
Since then we have checked to make sure home sharing is switched on the iMac (it is) and reset the Apple TV (twice) and still it will not accept the ID and password.
There is obviously a fault and it would be great if Apple could provide some solid advice for those that have done everything possible (to our knowledge) to fix the problem.
Next step is to throw the **** thing out.
