imovie 10.1 wrapping timeline?

Any idea if this update has disabled it? As I can't go to (view - wrapping timeline) to select it and can't see an option anywhere else for it.

I'm unable to find a way to "wrap the timeline" as well. I can't believe Apple developers would just remove such a useful feature for users. We're left with a huge amount of empty, wasted gray space at the bottom and doing unnecessary horizontal scrolling that slows down the workflow. Also, I miss the "Swap Project and Event" option as I've always edited with the timeline wrapping in the upper part of the screen. This change happens at a bad time for me as I just got back from a long trip in Italy and have a huge video project to do. I've filed a feedback form complaining about these changes. WHY REMOVE USEFUL FEATURES THAT GIVE USERS FLEXIBILITY?

I don't use iMovie all the time which is why I realized only recently that in version 10.1 Apple had removed the very useful timeline wrapping feature. I guess that because you could not adjust the speed of a clip with the timeline wrapping enabled Apple took the draconian step of just removing the timeline wrapping option altogether.

I don't think this was a great decision.

I hope the wrapping timeline will come back if any other iMovie version is released although I have to say fear this could be the last version of iMovie ever.

If anyone important from Apple happens to read these few words one day, please consider this post a plea to bring back the timeline wrapping feature. It is rarely a good idea to remove features from a program especially a very useful one like this one.

I'm a (very) long time PC user but a relative newcomer to Apple and I simply don't know the answer to this question.

Is it possible to downgrade from 10.1 to 10.0.whatever - (the version I had before)? (And so be able to use my previous version with the wrapping timeline option available?)

Any advice and helpful replies from knowledgeable folk appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

I agree with everything everyone has said about iMovie 10.1. Its so useless, unhelpful and downright clunky. I can't find half the features that I'm used to and it's going to take me ages to relearn it, except I've still got version 9 and will continue to use the old faithful version as long as I can.

Anyway, I've just complained to Apple about this nonsense of being unable to wrap the timeline, but what good that will do I'm not sure.

I've loved the Mac and iMovie for years but if I can't have the software I want then I'm seriously thinking of going back to a PC and using Serif's MoviePlus
