Safari does not open links from twitter

Something strange happens from the time ElCapitan installed:

safari does not open links from twitter


How to solve it?


I have checked safari preferences, extensions, general, security and all are ok.


Example:

User uploaded file

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), null

That is the link with some workaround that can be a temporary solution to avoid the problem described here.

In quick, there is the boolean key for Tweetbot that lets open URLs as not-shortened:

defaults write com.tapbots.TweetbotMac OpenURLsDirectly YES

Then, there is the Safari add-on that replaces all t.co links with their originals:

https://github.com/dlo/no-t.co

I did the same. Everyone here should simply post a bug report. This is a pervasive problem for Safari and it has trouble with t.co and also some other sites which tend to constantly change their DNS results.


BTW: the no t.co extension does appear to work for me .... will give it some time.
