Apple Music not working on iPhone 6 after iOS 9.1

I foolishly updated both iPhone 6 and iPad Mini with the new iOS 9.1 on the day of release, and spent all day yesterday trying to make Apple Music work. around 11pm, it finally worked on my iPad after login/signing on and off for a few hours, today it shows everything fine, but don't play anything. After communicating with Apple Music Help on Twitter I decided to re-install it all on the iPhone 6, hours of the signing on and off frozen, Apple Music on the phone shows For You, New and Connect OK, but won't play, Radio doesn't load at all and My Music is empty, not linking to my Music Match on ICloud. Now (Saturday 16:26), I can only listen to my music and Beats 1 from my main MacBook Pro... I definitely think this iOS 9.1 is a massive mistake. I am trying to reset my iPhone from scratch as I type this, backing it up from the Cloud from 3 days ago, but I launched this 1 hour ago and it still does nothing.... Not very convenient to do the Beats Run tomorrow if I need to png in my laptop in a rucksack as no small device is usable.

PROBLEM SOLVED

I have 9.2.1, and had the same problem on my iPhone 6s and iPad Air. I came across the fix by accident. After rebooting both devices a couple times with no success, I opened the music app and the splash screen appeared as usual, I just tapped below where the screen said "Music" and tried to drag around and after a couple seconds other text came up that asked if I wanted the Trial or continue. I just tapped continue and back came my Music screen!

I hope this works for others.

just got an iphone 6s. everything linked great EXCEPT THE MUSIC APP. tapping the my music app would just lead to a screen of a woman with headphones and thats as far as the app would go. restarted and reloaded multiple times. nothing worked. Finally i went into SETTINGS, then MUSIC, then turned OFF SHOW APPLE MUSIC. now my app opens like it should and all my music is there. go figure.

I Hate to say it but the initial problems raised in this thread last year started happening to me again over the past few days, and only a hard reboot seems to correct temporarily.

Apple Music stops streaming

cannot download or update apps

previous purchases disappear

im trying to figure out if this only does it on wifi or cellular, or if a reset network settings will fix it. Too early to tell.
